New the NCAA would try to destroy our momentum n this class great job on there part. I think we lose this class if something comes down before NSD. We would lose kids IMO unless its after way after feb 6
crossing my fingers that this get settled in september or october that would be the best timing.

The coaches who are involved will receive NOA's and they could release the NOA to the public.

they will get a different letter. the one they get will mention only what they are believed to have done and they probably wont be required to make it public as it will involve their actions while at UM which is a private university and not required to release any info. my guess is that unless their contracts with their current schools require the release of such info, we may never actually know what, if anything our former coaches get charged with

****! Just before the biggest recruiting weekend! **** the NCAA!
again, remember that the timing is a non issue here

I'm sorry but how can you be so sure that the timing would be a none issue to a potential recruit? I'm aware of the info you've provided regarding the steps we've taken and the effects of sanctions on this incoming class but who's to say that these kids are going to be looking at the situation the same way we are? These kid's have undoubtably endured a ton of negative recruiting throughout this entire process. There's just no telling how these kids, so close to signing day, are going to reacte....

The timing is definitely an issue. NOA almost always reads like a horror story. Kind of like a police report.

i say its a non-issue because whatever sanctions are handed down will not in any way affect any recruits from this year

there is nothing in the NOA that the school doesnt already know

Not the school, the recruits.
and all of that has been communicated to recruits

It doesn't matter if its been communicated, it will still bring it to the front of the recruit's minds, and will invariably be distorted by other schools. We would have been better off to have this happen a month from now.

Even if it has just seeing the allegations listed all over the media, and then undoubtably blown out of preportion by those recruiting against us, is definitely something that can rattle a recruit this close to NSD...

**** the NCAA for doing this so close to signing day...hopefully its not too bad and the recruits realize it won't have that big of an impact on them because we already took 2 bowl bans what more do they want other than scholarship reductions.

probably how it will go... 30 is a ton and would signal material violations. I expect more like 15-20 total, but what do i know?

Obviously the penalties won't be know for a while, but don't think other schools won't try and use it their advantage. They'll bull**** recruits and tell them they know what's in the NOA, and that things are bad and we'll get slammed. Problem is, these are kids and some will probably believe it.

from espn....

"The reviewing of specific findings is a sign that the investigation phase is ending, meaning Miami may finally receive its notice of allegations letter in the coming days. Typically, schools review at least one draft of the notice before it formally arrives."

INTERESTING.......remember BC's tweet a couple days ago!!!!!!

Don't ever say "We Skate". we self imposed major sanctions. It would be ironic if our penalties were in fact less then we imposed.

dude you are too new here, this is a long time board tongue in cheek thing (well for most anyway)

NO don't read into it. He specifically tweeted after that people were reading into his tweet something that he wasnt saying or implying.

Brennan Carroll ‏@brennanpcarroll Way too much extrapolation from the last one-I appreciate when people do really good work and look for ways to make things better #CanesFam

Or he could have been covering his tracks because the head coach and administration were a little upset that he would go spewing anything on social media at this time. The school and everyone on Miami's side wants this over as soon as possible, and they don't want anyone going out and saying anything the implies anything.
