MEMO: Don't listen to agents who are just looking for sales volume...

I hate the "Its the second contract that matters, leaving early puts you one year closer to that" mentality. The average NFL career is 3 seasons, odds are you're not getting a second contract. Leaving early and sliding in the draft gives you so much less guaranteed money and you're viewed as more expendable

HES GOING TO THE GMEN LETS GOOOO BIG BLUE

Preach. We need some agents like you out there.

Congrats RJ, use this to file your off-season workouts and go show out.

Happy for RJ finally get drafted, I think he sold himself short. Woulda been a 2nd round pick if he came back his Senior year, but I wish him the best of luck.

Amen. I look at RJ and he reminds me of Kareem Brown. Kareem was a **** of a lot more productive than RJ. 20.5 career sacks, 11.0 in 2006. Drafted in the 4th round. He played in 1 NFL game. This was clearly going to be RJ's money year.

I'm happy for everyone who gets drafted or signed, but I know guys could be in a lot better situation long term if they were more patient. The lower you're drafted, the less guaranteed money and shorter the leash they give you.

Yup, teams just don't have enough invested in you and you're behind guys they like more on the roster.
The "1 year closer to a second contract" is stuff nincompoops on this board invent to justify horrible decisions. Same as "enjoying the process" on the recruiting board.

Good thing he didn’t want to get double teamed. Now he’s gonna get double teamed in a practice squad

Love RJ, but I thought that was super arrogant comment. He just low keyed shaded every DT that was on the roster, lol. Like dam dude!

Duces homie. You got played by your handlers.

What a fkn dumb ****

If you're going to make a business decision...prepare like it and show teams that you're the real deal. When 98% of NFL DL is more athletic than RJ McIntosh, you're telling the league you either don't care enough to prepare or you're just not cut out for this.

I usually support a players decision to go pro regardless of circumstance, but its clear he wasn't prepared for this...mentally or physically.

If you make the biggest decision of your life based on your roomate in colleges decision than you reap what you sow.

He never had a chance to be a 1st round pick this year(and even next if he stayed) How the **** was it out of his hands?

Sigh. A lot of teams liked him a lot. Then the thyroid issue came about & he gained 20+ lbs of bad weight, had to limit how much he could work out. It's why he didn't test at the combine, it's why his testing at the Miami Pro Day went poorly.
