what we lost in terms of pure impact with Bain and Mesidor, Miami might make up for with sheer volume/depth upfront

Our goal-line defense is gonna look like the Big 8 back in the 80s!

PS, while we're at it, can we bring back ginormous shoulder pads, we might make a few extra tackles...

With this addition, Miami now has the deepest (pause) and most versatile defensive line in the nation. Teams will not be able to handle the waves of beast coming at them all game. It’s almost blasphemy to say this but, we just might be looking at the deepest defensive line since the 2001 team.

DE/DT Rotation
  1. JR Armondo Blount 6-4 280
  2. JR Keona Davis 6-5 280
  3. RSO Cole McConathy 6-5 280
  4. SO Herbert Scroggins 6-3 260
  5. RFR Hayden Lowe 6-5 270
DE Rotation
  1. SR Damon Wilson 6-4 250
  2. JR Marquise Lightfoot 6-5 240
  3. RSO Booker Pickett 6-3 240
  4. FR Asharri Charles 6-2 240
DT Rotation
  1. RSR Ahmad Moten 6-3 305
  2. JR Justin Scott 6-4 310
  3. SO Jarquez Carter 6-1 300
  4. RFR Mykah Newton 6-3 290
  5. FR Keshawn Stancil 6-3 290
Thats not including these young guys, who with the 9 game red shirt rule, could sill see the field but truly will not be needed.

DE/DT
FR Tyson Bacon 6-3 270
FR Isaac Chukwurah 6-3 270
FR Logan Nagle 6-5 290

DE
FR DeAnthony Lafayette 6-1 240

DT
FR Frederic Sainteus 6-4 285

From a pure personnel standpoint, yes probably. But Hetherman is a 1gap penetrating up field attack guy and 3-4 is 2 gapping primarily so we won’t see any of that. We have big athletic mfs that we can do a bunch of sh*t with though, and I trust him to do just that.

Thank you for shutting up these 3-4 dopeys.

he went into nebraska at 240. Kid is on the right track. Hes an inside -out guy. What you saw Blount doing. He maybe better at than Blount though.
Totally agree, that’s the scary part. I don’t think people realize just how talented he is. Him and Blount will be chess pieces that Hetherman can use all over the line.

Initially, my reply was solely to say that with the DE rotation you listed, there really is no difference between the first two on either side (imo Lightfoot will be one of the stars on defense next year) and then I noticed Lowe is all the way 5th on one of the depth charts!!...and you can't even really argue about it lol (Scroggins was playing in the playoffs).

This has the makings of the deepest and most talented defensive line at Miami in decades.
