This move to add Davis and Wilson gives Miami arguably the best Defensive Line in the nation even with the loss of Rueben Bain and Akheem Mesidor.

as of of now we have 5 LEGIT cbs (oj, brown, lucas, oconnor, slime) and four legit safeties in poyser, fitzergald, thornton (nickel), and pruitt ... that's just based on the national championship caliber team we just fielded ... haven't included one frosh or improved guy ... we straight
Pruitt is a linebacker.

what we lost in terms of pure impact with Bain and Mesidor, Miami might make up for with sheer volume/depth upfront
We keep stacking pieces. Feel like we will be rotating more but also have a lot of flexibility with players like this, who can play outside and move inside on passing downs

You forgot McConathy.

Biggest challenge is going to be keeping all these guys happy. I don’t know how you tell 1 of Blount, Lightfoot, Wilson there not starting.
Wouldn’t stress it… I think we see way more rotation on the dline (even though the DTs subbed often) than we did this past season.

From a pure personnel standpoint, yes probably. But Hetherman is a 1gap penetrating up field attack guy and 3-4 is 2 gapping primarily so we won’t see any of that. We have big athletic mfs that we can do a bunch of sh*t with though, and I trust him to do just that.
4 down linemen more simple. Keep it simple, attack angles, let our athletes play fast.

i just really like our roster construction strategy on the defensive line. obviously wilson is the one year rental, high impact starter, but you’ve got a ton of talent stacked via high school classes and then add a few guys like this who are transfers but also developmental guys who have a lot of space to grow and multiple years of eligibility. don’t forget that that’s what mesidor was for us.

Got some nice quickness and good moves. Taller guy but still doesn’t stand up straight at the point of attack! Love this pick up! Needs to gain 10-15 LBs during the offseason and then we can unleash him as the man in 2027!
He has the farm to gain the weight. He has already gained 35 pounds since enrolling in college, I can totally see him being 290 by the start of spring ball.

What does the 2 deep look like? It looks loaded to me!
Not sure, I asked the same thing. Id imagine its gna be some mix of wilson/lightfoot/lowe/pickett/scroggins at DE and then Moten/scott/carter at DT with Blount and Davis playing both inside and outside
