I'm excited about Richt...but he didn't make the recruiting splash I expected. Disappointing, really. 2017 has to deliver.

what did you expect. they had no relationships. they worked their tails off to salvage this class and too try to make up for the ineptitude of the previous staff. they did a fantastic job.

 

Mecole Hardman to Georgia. Great get for Kirby Smart to keep him in state. Kid's gonna be a baller there.

He got romeo finely, who openly said we didn't have a shot before.
He got Bruce to stay
He got Zach McCloud
He got Patrick bethel
He got malek young
He will get Ahmmon Richards
He got Jon ford (2017 4* DL)
He got latrell williams

Literally wtf are you people who say he didn't make a splash thinking? He had less than a month total not including the dead period.

Only negative is Byrd and Byrd was leaving no matter who was the head coach and that's a fact

 

Ced has to be in the box to have a impact, he will be a nickle guy imo

I like Ced playing that FS spot roaming the field, a lot of teams make the mistake, misusing nickle guys and nickle personnel guys, I would want my nickle a little bigger and faster. I like Ced at FS cause his aggressiveness allows him to be confident breaking on the ball

Not happy about some of the losses this staff had. they also cut weight with some guys that now look like they might have been worth hanging on to. But all in all they really made some noise down here, and are definitely looking like they are on the right track. They are using social media to their advantage, and trying to make inroads EVERY where. It took Harbaugh till year two to land a big class, its taking Strong a bit to get it going, I think we have been down so long that we need to be patient. Nice work staff, now get to work making these guys into SAVAGES!

 

How can you not be excited about this class?Studs at every skill position. Richt brought in an entire new staff and was able to keep a bunch of great local guys.

And did Crustacean Davis pretty much decide on South Carolina/UGA?

Literally everyone they cut loose went to a much lower program, Henderson, Hamilton, Hinson left for basketball, etc. I don't see anyone they cut loose coming back to bite us

Again folks, the proverbial "recruiting bump" usually happens the first FULL year of a coaches' tenure, after he's had time to build relationships and has a tangible product to sell recruits, coaches, and parents. Freaking Harbaugh didn't clean up in 3 weeks either. I think Richt has done a fine job cutting out the clutter of The Golden regime and filling several major needs. This class has holes and isn't perfect, and if we're still getting Signing Day Eve flips next year, I'll start to get concerned, but for now I think Richt is getting some "dudes" and I expect a lot more in 2017.

I see Finley, Bethel, Young and Williams as adds. The rest were in place by previous staff. I realize he had limited time...just hoped he had a bigger splash as many big time hires do. As I said, 2017 needs to deliver.
