Different era. 60% back then was extraordinary. Now it's what everyone expects to hit.

Point is a lot of rosier’s completions were difficult catches but still count the same as a throw where a wr can catch on run and such.

So while percentage is a factor, other things matter.

People just need to step up, I would love to have JJ and AR ready for ACC play but I dont want to rush them like they did AR last year and never be 100 percent. That being said we have so many weapons at WR we should be fine without production going down, what I'm worried about is the safety position.
Don't need either guy for the UNC game. That gives others a chance to get better with some burn. I hope they return for the FSU game.

Uhhhhh, Perry has thrown more INTs than Rosier the 2 games He's been allowed to throw.

Perry threw it into double coverage a few times vs FIU, Harley bailed em' out.

Kid's talented no doubt, but He still has a lot to learn.

Perry was in those games a lot longer than Rosier. Are you seriously comparing who threw most INTs vs FIU? Why not who threw more TDs bs FIU instead?

Harley didn’t bail **** out, Perry stuck that thing in between the numbers . The ball caught Harley.

Now it was a horrible read in double coverage but still an unbelievable throw / accuracy. That was an nfl throw , but he needs to learn that’s not the best throw to make. He can’t always depend on his cannon at all times.

But he also made a bunch of throws that Malik could never make. The touch to brevin was one and the one to cager on the run is another. That was a big boy throw.

Perry has touch ,a strong arm and throws great on the run. All he needs at this point is reps and game experience.

He has elite skills , the only thing that can keep him from being a really good player is worth ethic.

I'm shocked, I didn't think Richt would start Perry for UNC but at least get him ready with split 1st team reps.

I think at this point it's beyond obvious that Perry's arm talent & upside is just higher than Rosier's & Richt probably feels this Offense can move more efficiently with Perry delivering the ball.

The biggest thing for me will be how Perry is used as runner, there's not a throw on the field Perry can't make but if we incorporate some Read option runs on the outside this offense can become potent.

Because if Defenses sit back in 2 High Perry will pick the middle of the field apart, if they go Single High we can beat teams on the outside with our speed or hit guys out of the backfield with Brevin or a RB. Then when those LB's start cheating up on the line, Perry can break a few runs, which will draw those Safety's down then JT4 will punish them down the seam.

The combination of arm talent, accuracy & ability to work the intermediate passing attack are the main factors that separate Perry & Rosier.

I certainly expect a lot of the same QB run concepts we saw with Rosier carry over to Perry. They won't have to rely on it as much since Perry is a more capable passer but his elusiveness on scrambles was pretty impressive against FIU.

Rosier can only dream of making some of the throws that Perry makes. Unfortunately, I think we'll have to live with the occasional bonehead throw into double coverage that gets picked off. We need to be able to have some success running the ball in the ACC, we can't put everything on this kid to win games.

He really surprised me in 2 areas
1) his accuracy
2) his touch

The best pass of the day might’ve been the dropped wheel route. Davis timed it weird and slowed down.

That can be a difficult throw (especially with a 5th string RB who you have no chemistry with).

Malik, Kosi, and Weldon all got reps with the 1's today..

The perfect amount of touch on the touchdown pass to Jordan against man coverage?? OOoOOOwheeee!

LOL, yet His INT was a throw on the run.

Harley bailed em' out a few times...that play where Harley made the bobbled catch should've gone to Hightower, that's where His read should've taken em'...and the defender had inside leverage on Harley.

That seam route He hit Harley on would've been picked by a better Safety.

And His look-off game is average.

Like I said, the kid's talented no doubt, but He still has a lot to learn.

@k9cane - This goes to your theory regarding coach Richt's timeline to determine the starting QB for the season being the UNC game, no???
