2013 Don Bosco (NJ.) Defensive End Alquadin Muhammad committed to Miami during the Army All-American game and could be considered one of the top recruits Coach Golden has ever landed.
Muhammad talked about his reasons for committing to Miami and Coach Golden.
“I committed to Miami because I feel it’s the best fit for me and I feel comfortable. Coach Golden is a Jersey guy. He has a great personality and Miami never gave up recruiting me and always showed interest in me.”
Muhammad also enjoyed the academic aspect that Miami offered to him with small classrooms and it being a private school.
“I think the school is great and the campus is great. I also like how the classes are small, it’s not like going into a big class with a big lecture and the teacher not knowing me. Plus, it’s a private school and I went to private school in high school so it would be nice for me.”
Muhammad has already set goals for himself when he arrives at the school.
“As a freshman I want to lead the team in sacks, I feel as if that would be a big accomplishment.”
The Don Bosco product says he will play both Defensive End and a bit of outside linebacker while at Miami.
“I’ll be playing a little bit of both, but I think I will be playing Defensive End with my hand in the ground a lot more.”
Muhammad also spoke about what it was like to play in the Army All American Bowl Game.
“It was a great experience, I had a good game, we won and what’s better than that? My family was there and it was just a good time and a good experience.”
When asked if he is done with the recruiting process, Muhammad was very straight forward.
“Yeah, I’m pretty much done.”
