What are you watching?

FSu
Washington
Oregon
Bama
Georgia
Michigan

All have QB’s that can run.

OSU is the only one that has a statue and they are lucky to be undefeated right now.
These are the 4 I was refering too.

Washington / Penix 2023 23 carries for -5 yards
OSU / MCord 2023 31 carries for -62 yards
Michigan / MCCarthy 2023 47 carries for 164 3.5 yards a carry (Oh boy that's Big Time) LOL
Georgia / Beck 2023 47 carries for 104 2.2 yards a carry

So the same QB who has guys open for td's and throws the ball 5 yards inside and short for int's wouldnt Do that for Brohm. Got it.
Yep. Because Brohm’s receivers are actually open. Not fan base open.

In one regard we lost to two top 10 teams in back to back weeks by 7 points a piece.... Yea losing sucks whether by 1 or 100, I get it.... My only point is the players really tried to win in spite of the horrible coaching.....
Did players make mistakes out there??? Yep, no denying that.... Did some just look bad?? Yep, can't deny that either.... But at no point did they just roll over and die.... I mean we were in it till the end of each game.....
I don't care what side of the argument people fall on, either player fault or coaching fault, it falls on Mario .... He's made really good strides in some areas but has shown he needs a ton of work in others.... Game time decisions being the most glaring.....
A couple of better decisions during the past two games and throughout the season changes things entirely..... And as I write this my brain yells at me - "Should we bring up the knee or just pretend that didn't happen?"......

Mario plays like the NFL version of the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, last years New York Giants

Cant win anything playing this brand of football

My only concern right now is keeping this class together and having a good portal class come in as well. Next year's schedule is an absolute cake walk. If Mario can't manage 9+ wins with that, then a conversation should be had.

I've been hyper critical of Mario this year but let's say we can win this next game against BC and then whatever low level bowl game we end up in to get to 8-5 for the year. Go into the offseason with a bit of momentum, maybe snag a surprise recruit or two in the process. If we can walk out of the portal with an impact QB, DT, CB, and Safety, with what we have on the roster already, I think we will be a very good team. I'm a firm believer in knowing what you have by the end of year 3 for a coach and am willing to hold on my opinion of Mario until next year. Although GT and NCST have made it VERY hard to defend him.

Russ, that's fair. Again, we can be supportive AND critital. Supportive, but still concerned over certain issues. You can be both. People are sometimes too dogmatic in their positions.

Beg to differ; we’re never allowed to be good at offense and defense at the same time so we were due for the “offense wakes up but defense inexplicably collapses” game.
A tale as old as time

whoever still believes mario deserves to be the HC of the miami hurricanes football program after his first two seasons is insane
I don't believe in him either but not sure I'd call it insane. Look at all the **** we were giving Mephis Mike in year 2 and look at Fspoo now. Maybe something magical happens year 3... somehow lol. Those optimistic posters can have the year 3 hope. After next year is the same, then I'd agree it's insane

Diff is Brohm is smart enough offensively to

1. Bench TVD if necessary
2. Continuously change things schematically to cater to his team
3. Put his team in better position offensively.
I mean I agree Mario waited waaaay too long, but like we did bench TVD and Emory got injured...

I keep hearing this but do you realize the top 4 teams going into the playoffs are all non duel threat QB's?
This is in fact....

3,4,5,6 are all dual threat guys if need be. 8 i'll say is Bama with another dual guy.

UGA has the most talented roster in the sport.
Penix is slinging the ball up n down the field playing in the pac 12 where defense is optional
Mccarthy runs a sub 4.7 40. Been clocked at a 4.48 apparently since being at Mich
OSU guy cant run so we have that.

2 of the guys u listed are a threat to run....and 1 doesnt need to when he can just hand off all day (Beck)

Michigan and Ohio St are also in the top 4 in some part to playing weak schedules and a bad Conference

Ohio St has SEC talent on its roster though

Oregon too has a talented team

lol we could also say that we were a play away from being winless in conference so far and needed double digit comebacks at home in each of those 2 wins.

no one quit on Manny Diaz either.

I'm just going by their stats since that's all I got. 🤷‍♂️

we suck. if manny had produced these year 1 and 2 results, youd want him gone. i said this before and ill say it again, mario is more liked which is the only reason you bums make excuses for him. this is inexcusable. he sucks as a coach. hes a good recruiter. thats it. he also makes brett romberg look like a mensa member and if you guys listened to local radio over the years, youd know what im talking about
