I don't believe in him either but not sure I'd call it insane. Look at all the **** we were giving Mephis Mike in year 2 and look at Fspoo now. Maybe something magical happens year 3... somehow lol. Those optimistic posters can have the year 3 hope. After next year is the same, then I'd agree it's insane
memphis mike was a HC for 4 years prior to FSU gig and he won double digits twice in those 4 years.

mario is a veteran HC. hes been given more resources than anybody in the conference when he was hired (highest paid staff, etc.).

hes also not developing a single QB himself the way norvell did w guy who nearly quit the sport (Travis)

if we were smart, we would have done a 5 year deal and entering next year would be make it or break it and you have a way out if he flops again. now were going into year 3 of a clear fisher situation right now except the boosters arent gonna buy him out if needed. were stuck till the end.

It's negligence to not be getting CJ and Ray Ray 10 touches on offense between them when we're struggling to get to 20 points week in and week out. Not that I have much confidence in Dawrio to get them the ball in space anyway....
Agreed. Theirs is a guy name Brashard Smith, I think he leads the nation for avg yards on kick returns. Seems pretty explosive to me. Should start over X in the slot…. dont kill me.

we suck. if manny had produced these year 1 and 2 results, youd want him gone. i said this before and ill say it again, mario is more liked which is the only reason you bums make excuses for him. this is inexcusable. he sucks as a coach. hes a good recruiter. thats it. he also makes brett romberg look like a mensa member and if you guys listened to local radio over the years, youd know what im talking about
Not even a good recruiter, so far he can’t recruit DTs, LBs, or QBs.

He’s the worst gameday coach in the history of this program and that’s saying something

My fear is that the way Mario coaches just leads to close coin toss type of games, and that will NEVER win a championship. We may luck into an ACC title if everyone else just sucks, and we win a few OT nail biters, but that's about it. He has to develop a killer instinct, and want to maul teams, and I don't just mean for 3 yard runs.

Our talent level has increased, but we still look like a talented team that lacks direction. We play to everyone's level, and that's just not going to get it done.

id say so far (cycle isnt done), but after a good cycle last year, this one is falling below expectations for an elite recruiter. hes gonna need to recruit in the top 5 (which hes never done) yearly in order to make up for the lack of coaching acumen on the field in order to justify his salary.

2 conference win in OT at home down double digits in both. thats unreal. we could easily be winless in this conference.

It was pretty good, but I still wasn’t on the bandwagon he was an amazing recruiter. Those positions I were referring to aren’t not being address in this class either. You right about this year class not being over yet. How long is he gonna wait until he addresses the CB, QB, DT quality and depth?

you know what tho, you gotta lose like its the pros for better draft positioning to get better talent. wait what? you mean it doesnt work like that? you actually have to win to get kids to buy in and recruit well?

While being one of the more talented teams. It's just pathetic. Every game has to be a slugfest.

I see progression, but it's not much. We could easily, as you said, be winless in the conference. 7 point loss at FSU compared to 40 at home. Sounds and feels like progress. Losing to GT because you don't know how to down the ball? Regression. A bounce away from being winless in the ACC is had to call progression. It's just a weird, weird feeling. My eyeballs say we look better, but my gut tells me something is horribly wrong.

We need a coach that can out coach the man on the other sideline with the talent he has. Mario just can not do that. He's a career .500 coach, and that is what he will always be until he stops coaching scared. This 50/50 coin toss games are exactly why Mario is a career .500 coach, and no amount of close games against good teams is going to wash that away. He needs wins, and he just doesn't get them, because he's nothing more than a .500 coach.

They’re open because our safeties blow coverages like they have all year. And the lbs are not suited for it. Kiko is best going downhill and Flagg is too dam slow. Wes doesn’t even know the defensive call half the time.@hoyacane1620

Couldn't have said it any better myself. I wasn't down with the MC hire, it reeked of nepotism, still does. That being said I was willing to give him and the powers that be at UM the benefit of the doubt. So far the ROI for has been dog ****. $8 mil/yr for a sub .500 conference record? No thanks. His seat should be scorching.

lol we could also say that we were a play away from being winless in conference so far and needed double digit comebacks at home in each of those 2 wins.

no one quit on Manny Diaz either.
You could say that if you want.. I'm not but you could.... I prefer the cup half full look for the time being..... And honestly I never mentioned Manny and could care less about him.... Glad he's gone and don't ever wanna see him here again...

Yes they can but go look at their stats. They are not running QB's.
With college stats don’t tell the story. Sacks come off your rushing stats. I don’t even want a “ running qb”. I want an athletic qb that’s a drop back passer. If the play breake down and the defense had the perfect conerage you still win the down. It’s also easy money on third and shorts with zone reads. Burrow isn’t a running qb but he breaks your backs with runs and could rip off 10-30 yards. It’s a must in today’s football you have that get out of jail free card.

Makes sense.

They don't need to go super fast but I would like to see them go wide splits and clear out the box to run instead of going condensed and then missing blocks on 3rd and goal against a basketball school to lose.
