This team is dreadful offensively. There, I said it. It's almost like none of these guys understand how to play winning offensive basketball and they don't have any understanding of the concept of pace and spacing. Yes, we know this team can defend, but you can't play every game like this. You can't hope and pray the team you are playing is utterly inept offensively.

If I'm an opposing coach, I run zone against Miami. I run it until Miami forces me to stop doing it, because this team has absolutely no idea how to attack one. Honestly, I look at this team as a scathing indictment of AAU ball, because watching this team feels a lot like watching an AAU team. It's almost like they don't practice together, it's "Roll the ball out and let's run". Hopefully Coach Lucas is able to get that corrected as time goes on and the roster becomes established, but it's frustrating to watch live. It's unwatchable, because you can see the buckets left on the table because most of the players have no feel for the game.

That said, shoutout to #11. That's a good minutes eater half. He wasn't awful, he held his own and contributed. If Miami can get that kind of production out of him long term, that's good. I don't expect him to a be a star, or even a high end sub, just be a big body that can provide resistance defensively.
You do understand that this was a complete roster overhaul and this game 6 of live game action, right? Go look at the struggles NC State have been having since they started playing better competition - and they have a roster that some thought could potentially challenge Duke at the top of the ACC.

Olivia Newton John’s Physical shoutout by the commentators, Mario somewhere in a Pittsburgh hotel room watching this game and just called the front desk for a couple extra lotions hearing that.

Altuntas starting to play well. He should have played the second half last night. Played a good first half against BYU.

Henderson is a talented kid but he's a rough watch at times

Georgetown did almost the same thing last night got down big a made a torrid run to send it to OT before losing to Dayton.

How do we have no idea how to break the press.
Easy, because this squad doesn't have any understanding of basketball outside of "Be athletic and active". So many low basketball IQ plays late in this game, it was infuriating.

DO NOT WAIT FOR THE DOUBLE TO COME ON THE PRESS(and then make a decision), BE STRONG WITH THE BALL AND MAKE YOUR DECISION KNOWING THE DOUBLE IS COMING. #7 was lost out there, dude had absolutely no idea how to use his height to help him with the press. If you are going to pick up your dribble, keep the ball high.

So many years of L and Miami being relatively decent at beating the press(Provided the talent wasn't completely absent), I forgot how bad it can look when you are clueless. I thought I was done with having Frank Haith flashbacks, where Miami would give up 5-6 straight turnovers on the press, call timeout, maybe get a bucket and then give up another 4-6 buckets because we didn't know a **** thing about how to break it.
