Miami transfer safety Zaquan Patterson commits to Oklahoma State

On Thursday afternoon, former Miami Hurricane safety transfer Zaquan Patterson has committed to Oklahoma State.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound player has three years of eligibility left at Oklahoma State.

Both Florida and Florida State emerged as strong contenders for the talented defender after entering the transfer portal.

Coming out of high school at Chaminade-Madonna Prep, Zaquan was ranked as a four-star prospect and ranked as the No. 63 player nationwide.

Zaquan played in every game, finishing with 19 tackles and three pass breakups. We wish the best for the former four-star recruit at Oklahoma State.

I'll have you all know that in the off-season, Zaquan Patterson signs with my University of Texas-El Paso Miners to start at free safety for them after jumping into the portal. As the OC out in West Texas with ties to South Florida, I told our DC Bobby Daly about him and after that offer, he committed immediately. We'll take care of him, brothers.

Where in the world is ZP?

Someone close to him needs to get him pointed in the right direction. 1. Have him working out. 2. Have him going to classes(Dade community or OkSt). 3. Don’t know all the off field issues but get those addressed. 4. I would try to get him to 220lbs and rover.
