Does he project as Poyser’s backup or his running mate at Safety?

6 portal transfers in the secondary and hopefully 7 for a team in South Florida

I love what we’ve done but **** me that just blows my mind

Absolutely insane how pathetically we’ve recruited and developed in the secondary.

2026 looks really good, but a lot of other years have too and went up in smoke. This isn’t even a
Mario thing, we are allergic to good DBs as a program. Who’s the best DB this place has produced in the last 10+ years? Kam was a top 100 pick and played well his rookie year so it’s probably him but before that? Mike Jackson in like 2018 as a 5th rounder? Incredible.

Mediocre PFF grades, couldn't earn major playing time at Tennessee, hasn't had a pick since 2022.

He makes us better but hopefully he's not a starter for us.

In 2023, He was credited with missing 21 tackles, which was ninth most amongst all FBS safeties.

In 2024, he missed six tackles with a missed tackle rate of 22.2 percent

They’re going to need to coach all the missed tackles out of him

I’m from Nashville and asked my Vols friend who knows ball.

“We were caught off guard big time by that. Was gonna start at a relatively thin position. Jakobe Thomas is not great in pass pro but will end multiple lives in the run game and on crossing routes. Very valuable asset”

Everyone watching practice has talked about not having a “tone setter” on defense in terms of the physicality. Maybe this guy can bring some of that.

We may be joke about the targeting aspect but I can tell U....knowing that this guy is on the field as a WR is terrifying. Hopefully isnt out after the first series.

But cot ****...that hitting ability develops alligator arms and head on a swivel before the ball arrives.

He aint coming to sit...

Miami desperately needs an enforcer like this (pause). Play him in the box and limit his coverage responsibility. He is the perfect addition to help stop the run game of ND

Artie Burns - don’t remember if he’s within that timeframe, it’s been too long
