The two highest rated qbs without an invite are Gunnar Rivers and Jayce Johnson (A&M); pretty sure Rivers (NC State) didn’t even compete in the regional camps; Ivins says he had a “sheltered recruitment that make it hard to gather the traditional data points….”

The one guy not there who intrigues me is Carson White. Eric Morris’ hit rate is getting ridiculous at this point so was surprised he got left out. He looks like a future star to me.

Not weird, can just be different opinions or they valuing different things, could be politics or some network not getting interview when they wanted, all this stuff is dog and pony stuff..

I think you misunderstood me. I didnt say its weird that they have different opinions. I said its weird that the Elite 11 didnt rank him high since he is ranked in the 247 as high, as they typically just follow those rankings regardless of performance. It is dog and pony stuff.

3. Israel Abrams — Miami

Israel Abrams finished third from a scoring standpoint but from an eyeball test, who threw the best ball, he would have pushed for No. 1. He completed the first 18 throws before missing his final two. He threw with pace, accuracy and zip. While a few other quarterbacks would essentially cheat and alter their mechanics, taking something off their throws in order to complete the pass, Abrams ripped everything. He moved well in and out of the pocket and was really impressive in everything he did on night two. — Rivals National analyst Greg Biggins

Israel Abrams (Miami commit)

Grade: A

It certainly works with his natural arm talent, but he has a chance to be special if he can slow things down and find more control on a rep-to-rep basis.
This is even true for his sophomore to junior hudl tape, you see him bail alot of clean pockets as a sophomore then it looks like things slowed down for him as a junior
