Remind anyone else a bit of CJ Stroud?
I dont think we talk about this young man enough on here. The more highlight's i watch of Abrams, the more elite he looks. The darts he throws looks like Stroud but he has a more commanding presence in the pocket. He has the frame, the fire and all the talent in the world. Cant wait to see what he does at the elite 11.
Pocket presence jumps off the tape over and over. He’s mastered keeping his eyes downfield while he senses pressure and slides.

Somehow rivals doesn't have Izzy in their top 10 performers
i don’t get how Peyton Houston is number 2 in the elite 11 rankings. Joe Sloan, who is now UK’s OC, took his commitment when he was at LSU, partially because, UF was in the driver’s seat for Baton Rouge legend Elijah Haven.

Ole Miss’, reads Lane Kiffin and Charlie Weiss’, pursued and secured Keegan Croucher.

I’m just a regular guy, but considering Houston’s height, I wanna see the ball moving like how it does on Kharim Hughley’s throws. Houston’s dual threat ability cannot be considered in this setting so it’s irrelevant.

Elijah Haven, Keegan Croucher, & Jake Nawrot (UK commit) all looked much better than Peyton Houston to me. Needless to say Izzy did too.

Lol it depends on if the board wants to be an Ivins fan or not. Elite 11 and on3 seem to have a similar opinion on yesterday.
Never been an Ivins hater personally, that said, there are some major deviations between the two’s own 11s although elite 11 and on3 had Izzy Abrams gauged similarly.

Rivals has 4 guys that don’t make the elite 11 list including Keegan Croucher at 2. Ivins and Elite 11 are both high on Houston tho. Rivals leaves off Brady Edmunds, OSU commit who made elite 11’s list.

The politics are crazy. 247 gave Davidson a D and this has him up for MVP
i think they mean a spot on the top performers list, this is the notes under the list of 11 from Rivals

Kinda interesting statistic: Florida has the most elite 11 MVPs.

Florida has 7. No idea if Shea Patterson was a Florida guy before IMG.

Players: John Brantley, Trinity Catholic (2006); Aaron Murray, Plant (2008); Jeff Driskel, Oviedo Hagerty (2010); Asiantii Woulard, Winter Park (2012); Sean White, University School (2013); Shea Patterson, IMG Academy (2015); Dia Bell, American Heritage (2025)

California has 6

Players: Ben Olson, Thousand Oaks (2001); Kyle Wright, Monte Vista (2002); Mark Sanchez, Mission Viejo (2004); Blake Barnett, Santiago (2014); CJ Stroud, Rancho Cucamonga (2019); Julian Sayin, Carlsbad (2023)

Texas has 5

Players: Rhett Bomar, Grand Prairie (2003); Matt Stafford, Highland Park (2005); Cade Klubnik, Westlake (2021); Jackson Arnold, Denton Guyer (2022); Keelon Russell, Duncanville (2024)

Alabama and Washington both have 2

Brodie Croyle, Westbrook Christian (2000); Jameis Winston, Hueytown (2011)
Matt Tuiasosopo, Woodinville (2002); Jake Heaps, Skyline (2009)

Arizona, Arkansas, D.C., Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, and Missouri all have 1.

Jake Heaps and Kyle Wright are our two players here; unsure if we have any from the states who only had one MVP.

OH native, played HS ball in TX before moving to IMG.

This is our third straight summer, fifth outta the last six, with a quarterback commit (future or was currently at said date) participating in the event.

2022: Emory Williams and Jaden Rashada both did not make the top 11.

2023: N/a; Judd Anderson

2024: Luke Nickel made the final 11 (I wanna say he was ranked tenth or eleventh — i forget)

2025: Dereon Coleman did not make the top 11.

Jake Garcia did not make the elite 11; was committed to USC. Past Miami quarterbacks include: Teddy Bridgewater (was a Miami commit at the time iirc), Jacory Harris (counselor as well), Preston Dewey, Kevin Olsen, Jack Allison, Brad Kaaya (counselor too), Tyler Van Dyke, Jacurri Brown, and Jarren Williams.

Dewey didn’t make the top 11. They started inviting more than 11 his year which was 2011. Other Miami qbs who didn’t make the top 11: Jack Allison (anyone still have his copypasta?), Tyler Van Dyke, & Jacurri Brown. All other quarterbacks made the top 11 unless specified otherwise.

Deriq King was in the same class as Allison. He did not make the top 11. Tate Martell made the top 11 the year after. Carson Beck made the top 11. As mentioned above, Heaps and Wright were MVPs of the event.

Jake Allen (STA), Geno Smith, Sean White (MVP), and Dia Bell (MVP) were tri-county based selections who did not attend or commit to Miami.

Dawson’s two best evaluations pre-Miami were Mac Jones and Stetson Bennett. Jones was a finalist yet didn’t make the top 11.

Might be missing a few, like pre-2007; this is the gist of the event’s history as it relates to the U
