I love this man child. This is a IOL we need. He definitely plays with a nasty streak. He put in much work to transform his body. If they loved his IQ on top of all this, great pickup.

With Mario and Alex here, in their 4 seasons, they’ve put out 3 lines that were one of the 10 best in America.

Bring me Mark Matthews (who will be a Cane, put it in ******* sharpie outlined in blood, for anyone who’s scared) and let’s get to work on a 4th, 5th, and 6th in the next 3 seasons.

This is quite literally what they do.

Kid is gonna maul people at guard
He ain't gonna play guard in all likelihood. It'll take several years to really develop the kid. I'd imagine by that point jackson is ready to move to the league. Maybe he plays guard I suppose. But if so it'll only be because mathews and cantwell are staples at tackle.

Still can’t believe there head coach left to jump on the Colorado titanic. I know they like Linton but wonder if he gets pushed out eventually.
Certainly other programs are doing the math and hoping we do. NC State, Virginia Tech and WVU have all offered this year.

I’m not sure we do though. The benefit of Linton, Tatum and Ford is that they can all theoretically play all 5 positions which is exactly what Mario & Mirabal want. It looks like mirabal has already communicated to palm beach central’s coaches because Linton’s junior film has him playing all over the line.

We have been pretty disciplined on who we have taken as commits since 2025. Last cycle (‘26) our only decommits were: Ksani Jiles, Anthony Kennedy, and Kenton Dopson. Dopson reclassified and flipped to UNC to get early PT. Ksani decommitted in Feb 2024; he’s an IMG DB who committed in may 2023 after his freshman season. Kennedy was the only guy we dropped so late in the process.

The cycle prior, as far as oline goes, Lamar Williams and Takaylen Muex were taken and dropped within months of each other while Linton is still on board; has been for longer than both of those guys were committed combined.

I remember thinking Tyson Bacon would get pushed out after we flipped four defensive linemen in-season. So I wouldn’t count on it Unless he really falls off his senior year.

This is interesting; went down a rabbit hole lol. So apparently his brother was his OC & his brother, albeit not him, was actually an alum of the HS.

Interestingly enough he turned down the job when it was offered to him while he was at Hoover. The AD called him back up and persuaded him to take it.

As far as why he left Gainesville GA, I’d venture it’s because his brother got his own HC job and he found a place to left him be him all-out.

Sure winning head coaches can get college offers but it’s a big change of pace and loss of control. Roger Harriot, before that FAU RB coach job, took a similar job at Syracuse before backing out last moment. Ended up returning to HS football post FAU anyways.

Even Jeremy Pruitt and Jason Taylor didn’t jump into controlling their own room on day 1.

Not a lot of college programs letting the TEs coach introduce himself with a cowboy hat on lol. (Timestamp 7:45)
