The Miami Hurricanes have landed a 2027 offensive lineman commit in back-to-back weeks, securing the commitment of offensive tackle Tyler Ford.

A 6-foot-6, 310-pound lineman from Gainesville, Ga., Ford brings impressive power at the line of scrimmage. He uses his hands well, shooting them into opposing defenders to knock them back repeatedly.

Even at his impressive height, the Gainesville product moves well with quick feet at the tackle position.

A Georgia All-Region player for one of the top programs in the state, Ford has proven himself both in the high school and camp ranks.

The Georgia native visited Miami on April 7, after receiving a personal visit from offensive line coach Alex Mirabal earlier in the year.

Both parties were significantly impressed with one another following the visit, leading the advancement of his recruitment timeline.

Miami beat out the likes of Georgia, Florida and other SEC schools for the three-star prospect.

Ford’s commitment sends Miami to double digit players in its 2027 class, joining Sean Tatum and Zaquan Linton in the offensive line room — becoming only Miami’s second out-of-state commitment in the class.
