Would love if we could implement the SEC's scheduling philosophy of moving one of those cupcakes to the 10th or 11th week of the season. If we're going to play teams like that, I would rather have it late in the year so our starters have a chance to heal up.

Think it benefits us drastically that our first three games are cupcakes.

We have an entire new staff and philosophy. We need to have the kinks worked out by the time conference play starts

I take back my last statement. I say we win 10. Beat FSU. Lose to ND and UNC or VT one of those two. Either way I think it gets us the Coastal. I'm also looking at it and thinking we could go undefeated or only lose 1 game. Could be an interesting year. For some odd reason that App St. Game worries me. Going to be interesting to see how fast Fuente can turn around VT. Also see what the BYU coaching staff does at Virginia. BYU has been a very well coached team. Going to be a fun year everyone strap in!

Agree. Schedule for the most part sets up nice aside from what you stated above. We should be able to split FSU/ND and while VT will be better I think their talent level is down and won't be able to keep up with us.

UNC is the question mark for me. According to UNC fans, their new qb is better than Williams so they may have an upgrade their.

This should (hopefully) be a ten win ACC coastal winning season

What a terrible job by Blake. Having your 3 easiest games and your bye all within the first 4 weeks and than having your hardest teams (Fsu,Vt,Unc,Nd) all back to back is just terrible.

Blake got lucky with Richt. I still thank Blake should be canned.

Strong OOC scheduling has basically been rendered meaningless at best and detrimental at worst by the Playoff Committee so I really don't care but this is the problem with Notre Dame as a pseudo ACC member. We get no credit for playing them as an actual non-conf opponent and the conf as a whole isn't bolstered by whatever success (or perception thereof) Notre Dame has when it comes time to discuss the strengths of each conf.

Tough from a situational standpoint. Fourth consecutive season with a road Thursday night game, compared to zero at home.

Also four road games in a calendar month, between October 20 and November 19.

Obviously it depends on how good we are. Right now it sets up as a long stretch from Georgia Tech through North Carolina State in which we wouldn't be favored by more than 4-6 points in any game, with the possible exception of home to Pittsburgh.

Games against comparable talent normally include so-called surprise losses, that is if you consider a loss as a 5 or 6 point favorite somehow a surprise.

We need to bump our power rating at least 7 to 10 points from where it has been. If so, the optimism is warranted.

We're not at Clemson, FSU, UNC, or Notre Dame's level in the ACC as it stands today. Fact is we can't recruit the kind of depth they are able to recruit

This was an 8 win team last year. We have big ??? at multiple positions aside from QB

Unc has no depth and are lacking talent at every level on defense. Unc does not recruit on miami level and we have more talent than them. Fsu barely beat golden the last 2 years and you don't think richt can beat them? This team definitely has enough to win 10 games.

Just support the kids who want to be here, go to games, root us on to win the coastal which we have a great shot to do now with a new upgraded staff
