Am I reading too much into the addition of this guy + the Marion guy that the room has been underwhelming?

@JayCane20 saying 4.3 speed. But if he does his <10 y/c is kinda ***. But hey 48 catches last year. That's good for a floor riser guy. And at least he led Cinci in receiving TDs this yr...

Is he actually 5'11? Id bet he isn't....
He had 48 receptions out of 73 targets - 65.7% with an aDOt of 6.3. So he doesn’t stretch the field and isn’t efficient.

For comparison, Restrepo had 69 (nice) receptions out of 100 targets; 69% with an aDOt of 11.27 yards. Even JG was more efficient with a 9.4 ADot as one of our primary screen catchers.

Either he’s not as fast as 4.3, can’t catch, can’t get open or the QB couldn’t throw the ball that far because he’s really inefficient and is 2.5 yards less per target than our lowest WR last year. Restrepo and JG averaged over 9 yards aDot even with TVD…

There aren't other guys like Jeremiah Smith in the portal?

A lot of misreading here.

First, F$U wanted Tony Johnson and needs Tony Johnson, given their returning production. Thus, their anger/frustration.

Second, F$U fans are continuing to be ****y about Miami's past criticism of Norvell "recruiting over all the HS guys with Portal guys".

Sigh...

The point is that the Portal is ALL they have...
Honestly didn’t know whether they added anyone or not though. Would be funny if they were reliant entirely on portal AND still missed on everyone

did he have cam ward and the #1 offense?

nobody is saying he's Restrepo but silly to compare a WR depth piece to an all American

We had a lot of white guys wearing numbers that start with “4” who got reps at WR this spring.

Experienced depth piece. Won’t block Toney or the other freshmen but will make them earn their spots.

I made up the 4.3 just to see how many people would suddenly be ok with the take.
Oh lol.
But I mean 4.3 speed and his production even if not very good would actually be a good addition to our room then. Like at that point who could argue he isn’t an upgrade over Ray Ray? If he is limited athletically it obviously makes the take worse than it would be if he is a better tester than he showed on film…
