For those worried about spring ball, Pete just said Miami will make an exception for Mensah
this ... ray charles can see this is just to prolong the inevitable ... as a result, miami will just make an exception due to duke's assholedness

Lost in this is the absolutely delusional, hilarious view Duke has of themselves.

Because of this years idiotic tiebreaker in which they were ludicrously awarded a spot in the ACCG as a joke 7-5 program, who played an even bigger joke schedule, they legit think they are being robbed of a playoff chance next year.

Their entire damages claim is probably based on the total fantasy that A) they were the deserving ACC champs and B) they will be a playoff team next year.

We are at Notre Dame level delusional now.

Schools make late enrollments all the time for grad transfers, international students, and guys dealing with paperwork or legal issues. This is literally a court delay, not the kid being late or indecisive.

If the TRO gets lifted Feb 2, Miami can enroll him Feb 3 with registrar approval. And it’s even easier when the president of the school, AD and coach is aligned.

The TRO is only until the Feb 2 hearing. Can he not enroll after that? Don't know the school/NCAA regs on that.
The TRO is in effect until the hearing on the preliminary injunction. Not sure how this is possible, because I believe they are only allowed to last 10 days (which would take us to January 29 I believe). But whenever the injunction hearing occurs, what happens next depends on how the court rules on the preliminary injunction. If it is denied, Mensah can enroll and it becomes a damages case in front of an arbitrator (as it should be). If it is granted, you file an expedited appeal and try to get the case resolved. Another option is to file a motion to remove to federal court now and seek an expedited hearing. I would not want to be in front of a state court judge in Durham on this.

Yeah this has all the makings of being tossed. Clear conflict

Truth of this case …..there is NO WAY POSSIBLE for Mensah to get a fair trial:hearing in the state, between Dukes legal, Educational and political influence. All of the judges and politicians surely have direct links to Duke, prominent alumni, Board of Trustees etc etc. Its the nature of University and state politics.

This worries me…the venue and jurisdiction of this case.

I would say yeah sure **** it ill
stay then the first game throw 20 lollipop interceptions.

this needs to be expedited
