During my many drives between Florida and Maryland, I always found it odd that there is a Publix in Virginia, off I95, roughly between Richmond and Alexandria. This has to be the northern most Publix. Weird.
there are a few here now. there’s one about two miles from my house, another a few exits up (the one you’re probably referring to off of exit 140), and another just opened about halfway between them six or so months ago. guava cheese pastelito bites were on our national championship game snack tray.

Nothing compares to a Russo’s sub. If you’re from Palm Beach and are older than 30, you understand.
It’s such a shame it’s down to one. PB County icon started in 1947 IIRC.

First location (downtown) got bought out by ATT I believe, moved a block and was there for 30 years or so, then got the location bought out again.

North lake location was closed when the lease ran out after more than 30 years. Most of the family had moved out of state and this was around Covid time period.

Last location is only there on Military trail, because they own the building which was formerly a Mrs Winners Chicken that closed back in the 1980’s IIRC.

Been eating Russo’s since the late 1960’s. Not exactly the same as it used to be, as the original baker died and they had to find a replacement and the salami is from a different source, but still the best tasting sub and a great bang for your buck compared to the chains.

Now, my legal knowledge is limited to having watched Suits about 5 times fully through and an elective in college, but to prove tortious interference, I’m pretty sure you need to prove damages. How do they plan on doing that without making this a pay for play thing? lol Like the only case for damages would be that losing Mensah hurts their on field product, which would then likely invalidate the whole thing anyways since it can’t be a pay for play deal in the first place.
Torts wasn’t my area but there are other elements that also need to be met. Miami only talked to the player agent who reached out to miami, soliciting miami. That’s normal and proper actually. Teams talk to agents all the time.

downtown one was a staple of my childhood, along with the pharmacy that also had a diner in it (can’t remember the name).

I believe a post from the Duke board said Mensah's agent reached out to us and Tennessee. If true, no harm no foul, on our part.

They’re bread is the problem. Very good subs, but lacking a lighter easy to chew sub bread.

Publix fried chicken is slept on.
Their rotisserie chicken is elite too. The mojo chicken is my go to. Probably eat three of them a week.

@SPFRcane, I challenge you to a Supermarket duel. I love Publix. I would theoretically kill for one here but anyone who has been in both supermarkets who thinks Publix is better than Wegman’s is a State of Florida homer overcome with childhood nostalgia. 😂 The seafood, the meat, the prepared products, the produce, the choice of products in the store, the food bar…
Now if I’m near one I’ll have to check it out. My favorite part of Whole Foods is is the hot bar.

Lmao they’re delusional as ****. I thought they were supposed to be smart. Typical book smart morons. Mensah’s agent can and did reach out to Miami because of the money offered to Simpson. There’s no tampering, unlike what Duke did to Tulane for Mensah.
And why wouldn’t they? That’s why the free advertising of our deals worked out for us from the haters.

Was the pharmacy on Broadway or Dixie HWY?

The Broadway was Albrittons IIRC.
Grew up a block away from that one.

Yeah that agent saw we were offering 6.5 to Leavitt and was like "hey, I can get you someone with higher upside for half that, HMU if interested"
