On another note, Vance after a yr training with him is going to do numbas..

Lost 4 to portal
Lost 3 to graduation

Added 4 vs HS Class
Added 3 vs Portal

Personally, I'd like to add 1-2 more, but don't think they would be thrilled with their PT.
Who are the 4 portal guys? I know ray ray, Carr and Chance, who am I missing?

The rules of tampering are VERY clear:

If you are Miami and you get anyone in the portal, it is illegal, thuggish, and you are classless cheaters.

If you are any other school you can talk to whoever you want and nobody says a word.
Those are addendums to the previous rules:

If you are other (select) schools, you can have your players post pictures holding thousands of dollars in physical cash without a murmer of concern

If you are other (select) schools, you can lease cars to your own players without a murmer of concern

This kid getting sued too?

Jokes aside kids a good player and obviously has chemistry with mensah who he wants to play with definitely helps elevate the WR room
Kid attended Harvard prior to the Duke transfer. He definitely didn’t sign anything tying him to a school long term. Nothing wrong with long term financial stability (Mensah deal), but you’d have to think that a kid attending Harvard probably doesn’t have to worry about that.

Is it tampering if we reach out to a player’s agent? What if they reach out to us first?

Asking because I genuinely don’t know the answers.

Technically yes. By definition an agent represents the player. He’s an extension of the player himself. So contacting a player’s agent outside portal window could be considered tampering. If they reach out first also depends on whether portal is open. If not open, the coach is supposed to say “I can’t talk to you at the time” and report the incident. I’m sure the rules are being followed just as closely as the SEC followed recruiting rules pre-NIL.
