Miami 5-star OL commit Jackson Cantwell Named Top-100 HS Athlete of the 21st century
When you’ve had as much success in your high school career as Jackson Cantwell, and are named one of
the top 100 athletes of the 21st century, it’s clear to say that the Miami Hurricanes are getting a straight DOG.
According to a recent MaxPreps ranking of the top 100 high school players of the 21st century, Miami offensive line commit Jackson Cantwell landed at No. 80 on the list.
The 6-foot-8, 325-pound athlete has long arms measuring 33.5 inches and explosive power through his hands. He stands out in the shot put and was named the 2023-24 Gatorade Missouri Boys Track & Field Player of the Year. His dad was a five-time world champion in shot put and competed in the Olympics. His mom was also an Olympic thrower.
Cantwell made 158 pancake blocks in 14 games and helped one of the best offensive lines in the area gain 3,710 rushing yards.

Although he still has a year left in high school, Cantwell has already snagged MaxPreps Male Athlete of the Year honors. During the 2024-25 year, he earned state MVP honors in football as an offensive and defensive lineman and had the nation's best mark in the shot put.
