Meet 2016 ATH Cavin Ridley

Calvin Ridley is considered one of the top players in the country and a five-star caliber talent. The scary part? He might not even be the best prospect in his own family. Meet Cavin Ridley (yes, his name is Cavin), a 2016 prospect who recently transferred to Monarch from Stranahan.

The two brothers are extremely close as the younger brother Cavin explains.

“Yes, we will play with each other in college. He’s my role model and he teaches me what to do and what not to do and how to play. I follow him,” said Ridley. “It would be crazy if we played together. You’ll have to draw up something for us.”

Cavin is already 6-1, 190 pounds with elite explosive ability. His versatility is what could give the Ridley name another five-star prospect.

“I believe I can play anything. I’m an athlete all around. I can play running back, receiver, or defense. I’m a beast. I go hard every play and put in 100%.”

Ridley says that the three schools that stick out for him right now are Florida, Miami, and Alabama, but it seems like UF has his heart early.

“Every since I started to play football, Florida was the school that like inspired me to go hard. I always wanted to be a Gator.”

What would Cavin do if Calvin chose Miami as many have suspected?

“I would have to talk to my brother and have him tell me what to do that would benefit myself.”

All the money these schools supposedly charge ( i know their on scholarship), but their smaller classes, less things to actually do @ school etc....i dunno man.

I mean in the public school system in s.fla its a lot more factors......but majority of these privates down here dont face the same problems..whens the last time a kid ain qualify from STA?....or Cardinal Gibbons?

Sometimes the kids just dont care whatsoever and neither do the parents, along with the fact that they might not be Rhodes Scholars to begin with........

The real damaging affects of poverty and broken home is when they are very young and never develop fully mentally. If you have a decent foundation of learning and tutoring very early, school won't be the overwhelming challenge it becomes in Junior and High School. Life is not going to get better for kids regardless of race with the Repubs dogged dedication to take any and assistance from the poor.

Dems aren't much better if at all GH. Unfortunately the whole system is garbage.
Hope the Ridleys are able to get things straightened out and become part of the Canes fam.

I think the administration has to decide what its wants to do. By that I mean, if you want to compete, make lots of money and bring attention and pride to the university then allow those that meet NCAA standards gain acceptance. We know with tutoring they can succeed. Plus many of them can do it when they actually "have to" study. My guess is the primary problem is that they don't do home work and don't study. With monitors and professor reporting they have to go to class and study. If they don't they get bounced. can't nobody tell me that at any given time 10-14 guys that met NCAA minimums for admission devalues the quality of education at UM or any other high academic institution. My frat bro's son plays for Vandy. They told me that was why Vandy was able to compete because Franklin got them to accept NCAA qualifiers because otherwise they we never going to compete. Needless to say the admin at Vandy is very satisfied with the results. We can't continue to go into these gun fights with knives.

More people are unemployed, on food stamps and welfare under the democrat administration. Life is getting worse under the democrats. Just a fact.

47 million out of 313 million on food stamps. sad and true 1/6 of Americans can't afford to buy groceries.

Uh, yeah, I think we have a pretty good idea of what a broken home looks like.

For instance, right now my filter is broken for my salt water pool. It's like the God damned Dead Sea out there, and I have no idea when Jose is going to be able to stop by and fix it.

Also, I updated my iPad and the program that controls the curtains in my bedroom isn't working, so now I have to get out of bed to open them in the morning. So don't sit there and talk to me about not knowing how hard it is to go through struggles. It's not just happening to certain races in certain areas -- we all have hardships and crosses to bear.
