Mahoney leaves program, team releases statement

The University of Miami announced Monday that offensive lineman Hayden Mahoney has decided to leave the football program.

“Hayden and I talked and we decided that it was in his best interests to graduate this spring and pursue opportunities at another school,” head coach Manny Diaz said. “We wish him all the best in his future plans.”

Mahoney, a redshirt junior from Malvern, Pa., played in all 13 games last season, starting 10. He is scheduled to graduate after UM’s spring semester.

Hey, remember that time we hardly had any DTs and the ones we had were ***, but then we got new coaches and it turned out the problem was the scheme the whole time? No? Yeah, I didn't think you would.

When is Knowles hitting the portal and heading to Savannah State?!? Dude can't even play Special Teams here...If he could at least show good awareness and technique on STs coverage, I could see us holding onto him, but c'mon now...
