I’ve rewatched this film a few times and each time I’m more shocked at how good his route running is for his lack of playing. He’s not an Elite technician but he’s **** good as most aspects of the position. Sales routes well , stems and stacks routes and catches everything with his hands. He’s good in the short , intermediate , deep and run after catch. You can use him outside and in the slot. The sneaky aspect of his game is in the return game. Good pickup.

Love this guy's story.

Whatever was in the secret sauce in the evaluation of Colbie Young...I hope it's still around for this one.

An example of leaving no stone unturned.

Hope he's a hit for us. He just looks like a gamer. Everything is a little rough around the edges, but if he keeps putting in the work with - hopefully - better coaching...he can be a dude for us.

Excited about this guy. Not Devin Hester, but he could be a game changer returning the football. Go Canes 🏈!!!!!!

So many underthrown balls on deep routes and balls behind him on intermediate routes, yet he frequently made the adjustment to catch the ball and still get serious YAC. Seems like a smart route runner, too, attacking soft spots in zone and being aggressive to create conflict between the CB and S. Seems like a very QB-friendly WR. Excited to have him.

Stated by folks in varying ways, but biggest take from off-season roster acquisitions is size & speed. Good stuff. Even more telling is the heightened competition at multiple positions. Competition is what it’s about.

I tell young people all the time “ hard work and making good decisions can take you a very long way”. Don’t settle for ****. Just look at this cat , who saw this coming when he was a Sophomore in HS? He worked his *** off for what he wanted and now look at him.

He’s got a cool story. I really wanted to land him for his work ethic also. I think that room needs another X grinding and pushing the group. On top of that he has real skills.

Yeah, but I knew he was the best **** football player in the Nissan intramural league...

This pretty much seals the deal - will have some transfers out at WR. Redding and/or Ladson. Hopefully not one of the young guys. Improving the roster regardless.

KB gonna coach this kid into a stud I have no doubts. And the fact he was a security guard working and playing football he should be a great worker bc he gets it unlike some freshmen coming. He’s got limited time. Let’s go Kirk

All I ask of Kirk and Harrell are that they practice and play hard, stay healthy and don't have drops. Their athleticism is more than good enough that they'll shine in Dawson's offense if they do those three things. That should also elevate the rest of the room.
