Makes sense. Seems like Kirk & Redding are the low hanging fruit of guys who can be casualties to the portal.
Michael Redding is a fine young man and a great representative of the University and program but realistically he will never play a meaningful down here. I believe he is graduating soon if he hasn't already. Shemar Kirk has ability but he needs to make a huge move this spring or risk getting locked outside looking in.

As has been stated, this is one of the effects of having Trader and Carr here for Spring with Robinson following soon after. This puts a tremendous amount of pressure on the middle of the WR depth chart which is a great thing as this type of fierce competition brings out the very best in the best players and the cream rises to the top. It seems that Jojo Trader has already begun to make his presence felt with Cam Ward singling him out as being one of 3 WRs who he is already building chemistry with.

We’ve had superstars on greentree that didn’t do squat on game day.
Been too disappointed by greentree all Americans and blue chippers that fold.
I don’t remember anyone talking about AR82 like he was going to break out like a superstar before the season started.
Let’s wait for the real games before we crown or dismiss anyone.
We don’t roll like that here on CIS.

Almost all JUCO guys need a year in a program before they are ready to contribute. Most high school teams in Texas, Cali, Ohio, Georgia, and Florida run a tighter ship than JUCOs in terms of nutrition, S & C, academics, overall program.

I’m holding off till after the spring unless he’s just dawging everything

I am always cool with these kind of players. Hard workers at the bottom of the roster that if nothing, raise the floor of the work. The problem at Miami, is there were also a ton of unusable players that also didn't work hard, so a guy like Michael Redding ends up being a mid-level player on the depth chart here when he should be at the bottom, which he is seemingly now and thats ok. After he gets that degree and wants to move on, I hope he drops down a little bit and balls out. But he's just a roster member here.
