He's the coach with the relationship. It's not any different from Richt getting Dallas.
Miami had a shot. A real shot. He REALLY likes Miami. But Kirby has built a lot of trust over the years. And the opportunity to play with his brother matters, too.
It is what it is.
But know this. The kid was never trolling. Sometimes the idea of something turns out to be not as good as the reality.
Also know ... Richt has Miami going in the right direction. And he'll win more of these battles in the future, IMO.
Seems like it. Everything's good now his freshmen year when his brother's on the team. Then comes the first offseason and Kirby tells the kid his scholly won't be renewed.
