Why ?
Because why wouldn’t you want to bring in the most talent possible.
Miami has one proven WR returning next year. They will bring in veteran WR I’d bet my life on it.
….as they should.
We will lose Daniels, Marion, Tony Johnson and if I had to bet probably Ray Ray, Carr, and maybe Chance.
So on top of needing numbers, we need veteran talent, for the 4th off season in a row …..

I'm with you. Go get a solid outside receiver. We have our million dollar receiver in Mali but you need a solid compliment to him. You need to be 6 deep to make it through a season. Plus competition will bring the best out of the players. I want 2 WRs, 2 TEs(1 blocking and 1 receiving TE), 1 starting level OT, a Guard and Center for depth purposes. We have to be aggressive since there's only one portal window now.

He is playing real minutes and doing good things with them as a true frosh, why in the wide world of sports would he leave? Other than the obvious $$$$
I say 1 Te and 1wr with elite speed is all we need . Unless jojo leaves than 2 , I would like to believe at least one of the WRs coming next class can help us . If we can flip mueller unless lofton leaves I think we don’t need a te unless someone elite . We need another safety , another Lb , 2 DT , several ol and a good qb. Of course if we can get a game changing Te or wr you take them .
Te wouldnt be a need. Lofton is a starter..he isnt rushing to leave the staff obviously belorves in him n besides we dont have a fv/hback either way other than him and when thry run sj out there. Luke nickel brother returns anf we likely have 2 incomibg freshman, the former walk on is a big boy and Carver returns.
Im in agreement with every thinv else u said..only take 2 dts if Moten enters draft if not 1 with an nfl draft grade will do
Lofton has alot of injury issues. I think Brock will be very good.
I would take a DT or 2 and at least one veteran wr to go with our young guys.
I agree. we have had a bunch of misses at WR.
TE is arguably the biggest portal need on offense if Dawson is still here. Lofton is absolutely not a P4 tight end and is even worse in Dawson’s scheme.
Hopefully Gilbert and Schott can make a jump. Especially Schott after injury. But right now, we do not have a single playable TE available to us on the roster. Need to bring a veteran workhorse type who’s done it at a high level against good comp.

Absolutely need a Top WR in portal.
Trader can't be relied upon, and he may not even return. Ray Ray needs to portal out. Carr shouldn't be counted on at all, and probably will portal out, though I do think it was interesting that at the end of the NCSt game that we fed Carr the ball and he did well when given a shot. Chance imo doesn't leave because he won't have a market as he's always injured. He will stick around another year here. And the three Freshman this year have all produced well and will be able to earn bigger roles. And the incoming freshman class looks like another high quality class just missing an elite recruit, but that's fine.
I don't think we bring multiple portal WRs at all though. I do think we need a top guy who is a good leader though. Someone to pair with Toney to be a go to option that is ultra reliable and explosive.
Obviously Cam Coleman is looking like top target right now. If Ryan Williams or Ryan Wingo entered they'd be at the top of the list.
The guy I would target though is probably Bryant Wesco or TJ Moore from Clemson. They may want out as it looks like Clemson is a dying program and aren't trying to change.

I think most programs would struggle to lose 6 bodies at any position so 4 hs wr's + 1 good one in the portal is a good result
TJ MOORE PARENTS ARE FROM KEY WEST. He would be a good fit but likely a priority at clemson but i wouldnt mind him for sure.
Id take Leland Smith from San Jose State.

Not sure I would factor in Nickel ever seeing the field…He barely could get on the field at UAB and now Carver's walk-on little bro is seeing mop up time over him.
I agree it's not a huge priority in portal needs, but I'm basing that on one Gilbert or Schott becoming a beast next year. But I'm sure if right ones come along they will grab him just based on Lofton being very average this year.
