Indoor Facility lead donor revealed

Interesting family. I'd never heard of them. They're connected to some legendary south Florida land marks; The Fontainbleau, Aventura Mall, Turnberry Isle; Kinda cool.

And the Miami Herald has learned that prominent South Florida real estate developer Jeffrey Soffer and his philanthropic family are the likely lead donor.
Soffer, who is married to model Elle Macpherson, and his family own majority interest in the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, among many other properties, and large percentage of Aventura Mall.
Forbes reported last year that Soffer had joined the billionaire ranks “thanks to his hefty stake in Turnberry Associates, the real estate development company founded by his father, Donald.”
Soffer is listed as the company’s co-CEO with his sister Jackie.

According to a 2015 profile in Ocean Drive magazine, Donald Soffer moved the family from Pittsburgh to South Florida when Jeffrey Soffer was 2 years old “and turned 785 acres of swampland into what is today Aventura, by building the Aventura Mall, Turnberry Isle, and a slew of luxury condos…. In the meantime, he travels the world with his supermodel wife on a plane he often flies, conducting business from his iPhone, and carrying on a Soffer tradition of reshaping Miami. ”

Or combine the two and use stem cell therapy to help prevent and quickly recover from injuries.

Another positive step in The Resurrection of The U.

Yup.

If donna were still in charge, she would have rerouted about 1/3rd of this donation to be used as her personal slush fund, then another 1/3rd would have been redirected into the university's general fund (where she would do the same). The final 1/3rd would have been held over the head's of every former professional athlete from UM telling them they need to match these monies if they want to see an indoor practice facility at UM.

Let's stick to the realm of reality and grow them into new players. They should be ready in time for nd.

soffer's dad bought what today is the city of aventura when it was a swamp and built aventura and a ton of high end condos.

never heard them associated with the university, so this is a great development on many fronts because not only are they lead donors, but hopefully this parlays into other benefits.

Thank you Mr Jeffrey Soffer!

This!

Man and family recognizes the U as a important component of the Miami metro area... including the educational component. Company I worked for did a lot of work for Turnberry, class outfit that cut no corners and demanded excellence ftom all it's consultants and contractors, and paid top dollar to get the best.

I hope this dude doesn't show up on "American Greed" in a few years for running a Ponzi scheme.

Oh well, Oregon has Nike funding all of it athletic facilities.

Dammit mane... Whoever is in charge is turning this program around fast.

Good eighth post, facquit.

If that were to happen, would not affect the school in the slightest.
