Kacey McTurmott will make a huge impact for the Canes. According to 247sports, he is a great player that will anchor the line for years to come. Personally, he reminds me of Harold Arbuckle, the great linemen from Army's 1914 championship team.

With McTurmott's commit, the Canes now have only 56 spots remaining for this years' class.

Make it a super day!

HAROLD ARBUCKLE? From 1914?

HOOOH Man! You nailed it! That's the dude that got kilt in France in WWI, prematurely terminating his AFC career!

When it comes to recruiting, South Florida is generally considered Dade and Broward

One of the dumber things I've seen posted on this site.

You dont think when people are talking south florida recruiting they include The Muck, Ely or even Palm Beach Central?

Since when is Palm Beach not considered South Florida?!?! I believe if you asked anyone with an IQ over 71 you would be hard pressed to find someone who doesn't think PB is part of South Florida. Wow! Had a hard time getting past that to read the rest of the article. LOL! C'mon guys, keep up!

Lmao Pete hasn't returned to this thread cuz he know he got murked on that comment.

He tries to use comments he can get away with to his friends. Unfortunately for him some guys here have closely followed recruiting longer than he has been alive.

Seriously Palm Beach is/will always be part of South Florida.

As a very old Cane and one that knows several big time former Canes recruits from Palm Beach, Howard Schnellengerger considered the State of Miami to be from Palm Beach down. In fact we used to dominate Ft. Pierce and Vero Beach down. Stole the best from Tampa (Gaytor/Nole heavy grads, but heavy in Cane fans) Bay area south. Toss in a few Texans and that was the makeup of a Championship team.

FYI, Keep that Brandon Powell video away fron Oregon, thats a Duck caliber back if I ever saw one.

Hmmm..Cane4life04..Ely is in Broward. But I get your point.

As far as the whole whats considered south florida and whats not I think its 6 in one hand, half dozen in the other. If you talkin nightlife, club scene, latin mommys and hiphop/movie star type ****..Palm Beach is not considered "South Florida". But when it comes to HS football it definitely is.

Palm Beach is always considered part of South Florida.

Well like my man Costa from Project X said, "Looks like we gonna have to agree to disagree"...if someone were to tell you, "Im goin down to south FLA baby to pop bottles and live it up with Lil wayne, Rick Ross, and Diddy!". Most people would think Club Play on Friday, Bamboo lounge or Cameo on Sat, LIV on Sunday, and King of Diamondz Monday. Not City Place in Downtown WPB.

But who cares really. Its a moot point. When it comes to football we need all of south florida and you can include Tampa/Orlando for all I care. Fade to black on this subject..

We are not talking about south Florida in the sense of your dream weekend with a bunch of ignorant urban ghouls. We are talking about how it's viewed in terms of recruiting. In that case, Palm Beach is considered south Florida.

I am taking Pete's side here. Although geographically Palm Beach is obviously part of South Florida the folks that live in PBC HATE Miami. I have a home in Jupiter and can tell you with certainty that they hate Miami and many of them are Gators. Broward and Dade is cane territory and that is the point I think Pete was trying to make. Palm Beach is more Gator territory. Palm Beach Dywer etc. In any case the point here is that although PBC is obviously part of S Florida geographically the folks in PBC and to a certain extent the players are certainly not "cane locks or cane fans".
