When it comes to recruiting, South Florida is generally considered Dade and Broward

Pete I appreciate the work you do, but no no it's not, South Florida, the State of Miami was and has always been Palm Beach County down. **** the rest of Florida doesn't even consider Palm Beach County on down part of Florida. Even more ask people who call themselves Southerners don't even consider Palm Beach County on down "The South".

When was Palm Beach County not in S Florida....

Education system continues to fall apart...

That's funny right there. Its almost as bad as all the Red Neck citizens and front line public officials of Lee County, FL creating a public panic when a local radio station morning DJ made an announcement that dihydride monoxide was coming out of the faucets where he lived. So who knows what goes on some peoples minds in south Florida.

Go Canes!

^ Yes, sir, he is.

And as a Florida boy living in Cali, I enjoy the opportunity to spout off about anything related to my South Florida.

I came in here to drop some Palm Beach knowledge, but the goon squad has beaten me to it.

Palm Beach, Broward, Dade = South Florida. For recruiting, and also for everything else. Sorry Pablo de Pete.

But your point is understood.

When Schnellenberger spoke about the State of Miami, he intended to include a line across Orlando to the west. I think he meant to include Brevard County (Merrritt Island, Cocoa Titusville, Melbourne) through Orlando and maybe to the St.Pete/Tampa area. He never lacked the ambition by cutting it off at Palm Beach. We would have lost Fort Pierce and Vero which, at times, had some of the best talent in the state. Howard was ambitious, and maybe greedy, as he should have been. He fully intended to annex everything from Orlando east and west to the two coasts, on down.

Consider all the players we have gotten from the Orlando area, Brevard, Fort Pierce/Vero, and Tampa/St.Pete:

Matt Walters, Hurlie Brown, David Kintigh, Ramon Buchanan, Dale Dawkins, Kenny Holmes, Warren Sapp, Kerlin Blaise, Dallas Cameron, Kenny Calhoun, Kennard Lang, Willie Broughton, Joe Kohlbrand, Michael Boireau, and many others.

How bout we discuss the impact of his commitment on the balance of this class

Our Orlando recruiting lately hasn't been too great, I'd love to gain a stronghold there again. We're starting to do better in the Tampa area again though.

South Florida recruting gurus:

Is it true that KC McDermott committment = Valentine commits to the U?

There isn't a direct correlation between these 2 items, HOWEVER, Valentine has been said to be VERY intrigued by McDermott's commitment to the U. I personally think it could help us with him, but McDermott being on board doesn't seal Valentine up.

Yet.

Kacey McTurmott will make a huge impact for the Canes. According to 247sports, he is a great player that will anchor the line for years to come. Personally, he reminds me of Harold Arbuckle, the great linemen from Army's 1914 championship team.

With McTurmott's commit, the Canes now have only 56 spots remaining for this years' class.

Make it a super day!
