swagger, I thought about that. wonder how much jealousy there is and other wondering why they didn't get the position. it's seems like this community in dade especially would be filled with dudes who think they are qualified being jealous.

Treon knew his dad was coming to Miami and didn't choose to come here. It is ridiculous to think he will be transferring when he has not even stepped on campus at UF/

They'll say this is some sort of damage control by Al ... we all know he's 5 steps ahead of the enemy. He's such a great man!

you cant say this isnt a smart move by him

It would've been smarter keeping him from the beginning. Yes, it's a smart move, no doubt. Wish we could've found room for him and T. Lock

not sure if golden pushed him out or he went on his own, but he is here now and i agree with you 100% about that last part

I assume he knew his dad would possibly be coming here but it still wouldn't be a shocker if he transferred.

Wow. Harris turns over the coaching reigns to his son and gets to stay in Miami with a great job. Let's hope it works better than last time, record wise. Betting it will.

Happy to have you Ice no lets win games and get those good *** recruits

This should just confirm that Ice was never pushing players away from Miami. This guy has built and maintained the top high school program in the country. Huge

Please stop.

What in this post was inaccurate?

"By your logic I could claim that this rock keeps tigers away."

This proves nothing other than he was hired by Miami. I like how you throw in the Ice was never pushing players away from Miami.

Hey, Pete, I for one never thought Ice pushed those players away, but I did think he ran his mouth for some revenge(As I have said, I don't blame him for that.). That said, I don't see how this proves he did not push them away. I never though he did, but I don't see the logic of this proving he did not. If fact, I could argue the opposite. But the key thing is, this should help with recruiting in at least Dade county.

South Florida = Crabs in a bucket.. If Im not shining then you shouldn't either... and if you do and dont put me on, I'll make your job ****.. I'll go as far as to rob you (of recruits)... this was a HUGE issue under the last coach! There were many other factors than just being a poor coach..

Obviously going to wait for results. How far North in Florida does his influence spread?

Who Needs North Florida when all the talent is in Central and South Florida. North Florida produces great players as well but just straight up talent. South Fla Reigns and its not close.

And there it is...

Let's separate three things.

1. Is Ice Harris a good HS coach?

YES

2. Will this help in recruiting?

YES

3. This should just confirm that Ice was never pushing players away from Miami.

HUH

Stop what?

Stop jumping to conclusions. I could spin it this way: "Isn't Al Golden such a forward thinker that despite Harris pushing kids away and ripping him to the local papers he hired the local high school legend after mending fences. Golden is really smart and doesn't hold a grudge. It can only help him secure more top prospects in the area."

I have no idea if that is true, but I could make it work if I defended Golden as hard as Ariz defends Ice.

See how it works out this time but I still think he needs to be an on field coach who goes out and recruits to see what kinda difference he can really make. If I had to guess he will get a spot the next time one opens like Hurlie did.

Agree 100% with your post, Gatorhater.
