Travis Jay is a freak and one of my fav recruits this class. If we can somehow pull that kid out of Tally...Crown whomever does it.

I like All of the NYC kids. I also would of kept tabs on Dorlus though DB hasn't been good to us at all. Simpson follows Dorlus on twitter though so im sure he was aware of him

Jay is criminally underrated.

Thats not what he said. He said we got our number 1 guys. Sitkowski was that we got him then Williams became that and we got him too. We didn't strike our on anyone as you imposed.

I'm not saying that we didn't take a QB last year. But the original post indicated that we got our "first choice," and this was decidedly not the case.

We scrambled for Williams, just like we seem to be scrambling now. If Williams really was the #1 guy last season, he should have been identified, courted, and locked up earlier. If we have to keep going through this song and dance year after year -- and by all indications, that's what's occurring now -- it'll eventually be something that bites us in the ***.

Oh no he’s got an offer from Pitt. Shut it down he must be all world then.

Look at Ian Book's offers coming out of high school and tell me how well that's working out for ND. Or Baker Mayfield's.

And another thing: some posts debating people who want to take a lower-ranked QB are guilty of false equivalency. No one is saying "bring in a three-star guy to be the starter!" (even though there is a possibility that it could work out). The argument is this: we don't know what we have with Perry or Williams yet, and each could get hurt. Weldon is almost certainly transferring. I'd much rather have:

1. Perry/Williams
2. Williams/Perry
3. Lower-ranked 3 star QB

as the depth chart next season, as opposed to:

1. Perry/Williams
2. Williams/Perry
3. Walk on.

In scenario #2, we are completely effed if Williams or Perry gets hurt. As an emergency option, I take option #1 every day of the week, and twice on Saturday.

Jeeeeeeeeeeeezus this is awful.

In summary:
No qb, losing a once in a decade OL recruit and best LB recruit.

If Rick can't win and can't recruit, why exactly are we keeping him again?
Thought Donaldson was once in a generation or was that Sentreal Henderson or Reggie Youngblood,or 5 star KC MCdermottt

Can he move? If he can't dance don't offer.
yeah that's what we need, another 4.5 QB that can't hit a receiver in stride... I'd take a deadly accurate QB with two fake legs over another dual threat QB that cant throw for crap or read a defense.

With our recent history of OL performance and the prospect that it will probably not improve greatly in the near future, we don't need another decently accurate stone footed QB like Brad Kaaya.

Ivins says Lucas will be visiting with Neal this weekend. I don't really like this.
