Friday Recruiting Chatter - 11/30

Our local recruiting always makes me scratch my head.

*We need a QB and we're not even sniffing Jesse Rivera, the best 2019 Quarterback in Broward. Right in our backyard, 6'3" and has an offer from Pitt.

*We need DT's and we're not pursuing Brandon Dorlus, who is arguably the best in Broward. Instead we're looking in New York? LOL

Must be something I don't know.
Imagine mcdougle this year with gw this year and with nesta next year. Gaynor said he was the meanest sob he ever played against

@Stefan Adams, very good intel and thanks for sharing in such a comprehensive manner. Truth be told, I'm much less concerned about our talent recruitment efforts as I am our staff revamp (praying to God there is going to be one).

Almost wish you could clone this thread as Staffing Chatter...

No, it's been said in the Haselwood thread that he will announce 1/5 and enroll shortly thereafter at a school, but will not sign 12/19. And it makes sense. There's no way in **** you can keep a lid on a kid this big for 2 weeks. Everyone for sure would know where he faxed his LOI way before he announces at the AA game. If he really wants to keep it suspenseful, he can't sign on 12/19.
So he himself has given out conflicting info or someone who posts on here?

No, I'm not; it can't be a moving target.

Sitkowski was recruited and committed. The staff accepted that commitment and only dropped him when it turned out he stunk.

To turn around and say "but Williams was our #1 guy all along!" is intellectually dishonest.
Thats not what he said. He said we got our number 1 guys. Sitkowski was that we got him then Williams became that and we got him too. We didn't strike our on anyone as you imposed.

I believe he himself has said he was going to be an EE. And I personally never saw where he said he was signing on 12/19, but if you did I won't argue with you. Perhaps, provided he did say that, he realized it's not feasible to keep it a secret that long, so he reconsidered and just decided ***** it I'll announce then enroll.

Signing 12/19 really doesn't do anything for him if he's going to enroll early anyway.

Yup. Staff is showing that it's beyond hesitant when it comes to expanding the recruiting board - and usually won't do so until it's too late.

Dorlus is really frustrating. If he's good enough for an offer from Bud Foster, he should be good enough for Miami.
Ya'll stretching on those two I'm sorry. Dude from Western has 3 offers but were sleeping on him, ok. And Blisset/Isaac are light years ahead of Dorlus.

Haselwood isn’t signing early...

Like it has been said, he will announce on the 5th and enroll right after that at his school of choice.

I realize that the cool thing to do for Miami fans is to just slander and butcher Mark Richt as the world's most incompetent human, but do realize we should at least try to somewhat stay on Earth occasionally and not live in fantasy land. Mark Richt is many things....a terrible recruiter is not one of them.

Miami signed an absolutely elite offensive class last cycle. Cry about Searles and Fredo all you want (but let's be real, you guys just cry about everything), but CMR didn't forget how to recruit.

Recruiting is sweet but what have they done on the field with it? As long as Richt is the mastermind behind the offense, they are going to horribly underachieve. Also, it's not the "cool thing to do" it's the correct thing to do because he's clearly not doing a good job at something. How did the QB room look this year? Or the O-line? They were the two worst units on the team

Yeah we just gotta wait and see.

Oh no he’s got an offer from Pitt. Shut it down he must be all world then.

Will someone fly a banner over Gables this weekend for Neal please???

Oh god, one of these idiots.
I never said that. SMH

And ***** my eye for talent. how about Clemson's eye for talent? They seem to agree with me.
i like the kid Aidsa from ny but not going crazy over the others. that being said, i had private convos with
Macho regarding Coach D. he always said he was approachable, knowledgable but he never agreed with his defensive
philopshy. if that's what he said in private discussions, i dont he would change his tune. enough is enough.

Mark it down Richt will be out of here in 2 years. Dude is lost and this class is a complete dumpster fire. Depending on how the UF game goes could speed up the process even more. I wanted Richt to succeed here but mistake after mistake. Dude just doesn't have it.

Its their job to do that mongo. Yall complain when the staff doesnt and when the staff does it yall complain too. Im glad he dont listen to us.

Yeah, I'm obviously not a fan of Richt and I think this class will still be **** poor due to mismanagement of the most important positions of need, but you can't bash a coach for trying to shoot his shot. It works for Saban and Meyers often, so I'm glad they are not giving up on the QB position in 19. I would be more angry if they threw their hands up and didn't try to salvage or flip.
