Here are four things you need to know about Florida State's senior quarterback...

He almost leads Florida State in rushing

Yes, you read that right. A quarterback almost leads Florida State in rushing. By only 17 yards, running back Gavin Sawchuk is ahead of him by almost two first downs. Tommy will be a running threat and will need to be contained. He has recorded 217 yards in 4 games, averaging 5.3 yards per run.

He has the highest passing grade in the country

With a 91.0 passing grade, Castellanos leads all quarterbacks through four games. According to PFF, that’s the highest mark in the country so far.

Passing: 91

He nearly has more picks than touchdowns

Despite a strong start to the season, Castellanos has struggled with turnovers. He has four touchdown passes but already three interceptions, nearly matching his touchdown total. Miami’s defense will hope to take advantage of that inconsistency tonight.

Has never beaten Miami

Now, of course, Tommy was at Boston College, a less talented team than Florida State, and he was on a worse team overall. But he’s never experienced the feeling of beating Miami. The last time Miami faced Tommy was in 2023, when Miami finished 7-5. In that game, Miami forced him into two interceptions on 15-of-25 passing for 151 yards.
