It ain’t work out for 13-1 fsu those fans thought win and they’ll come. No one came, their mods and media fed them a lie that some people knew it was a lie. They just can’t recruit and they are a tier three recruiting school with Mike in charge. We are tier 2 going up against tier 1’s most of the time.

Big pause
They broke. So nah no one came to play for free for that collection of used car salesmen.

They shoulda bet the farm that cycle but they knew they ain't have **** to play with the next season so they had to buy a team at a discount and a recruiting class. Couldn't hang with those empty pockets.

We stil paying the suck tax and sadly still having to turnover too much of the roster year to year just to stay competitive but we ain't trying to do it on the cheap.

For us to take the next step we need to stop ****ting the bed in November and hit on a higher percentage of these mid 4 star recruits. We need a handful of ahmmon richards type evals every cycle not 1 or 2. These dudes who are underrated 4 stars ready to outperform the 5 star guys are what push your squad to that next level. That's how Butch got us back, that'll be the most likely way Mario gets us out of suck tax land and back to being a premier destination for elite recruits.

fans complaining about this pickup or wingo must have not been here pre mario
Exactly. Just a few years ago every single person on this board would have been telling lies going into the season with a top 10 class lol, back when plan C commits used to be Robert Knowles or Dazalin Worsham 🤦🏾‍♂️.

This class is currently ranked 10th, if you look back 10 years before Mario arrived 2021 - 2011 Miami only signed 2 top 10 classes. 2012 class was ranked 10th and 2018 was ranked 8th (that class was loaded with bust).

Mario is working on his 3rd top 10 classes, even last year’s 14 ranked class (most here called a major disappointment) would be tied for the 5th best class over those 10 years. On top of that, the 16th ranked 2022 class would be tied for 6th best since 2011.

Miami Classes from 2021 - 2011(rankings according to 247 composite ranking)
2021 ranked 11th
2020 ranked 16th
2019 ranked 27th
2018 ranked 8th (That CIS signing day party was epic, so many lies told 😂)
2017 ranked 12th
2016 ranked 22nd
2015 ranked 27th
2014 ranked 12th
2013 ranked 14th
2012 ranked 10th
2011 ranked 33rd

Mario’s classes
2026 ranked 10th (as of today July 26th)
2025 ranked 14th
2024 ranked 4th
2023 ranked 7th
2022 ranked 16th

I want the loaded classes full of 5stars too, but some of you guys act as if top 5 classes are just normal here, like Miami hasn’t been absolute trash since before these kids were born. Yes there is still a ways to go, but my God we have come so far from where we were.

Just watched the HUDL. What were the naysayers talking about? Redding is a baller and absolutely a Miami kid. Great deep cover, navigates traffic to lay the wood, flips hips with fluidity. Johnson and Kinchems weren’t ideal size either. He’ll be fine with those instincts and that arm length.

Now pair him up with a Jackson flip or one of the other guys on our expanded board and we’re in business.

Hoping at least one of Moore, Evans and Wingo becomes that dominant bigger receiver we need to compliment Trader, Toney and Spafford.

And I’m hoping Redding becomes our next Kinchens.

Suprised by his film the first thing i noticed thay stood out was his instincts!!! Every play he had instincts on the run and he came flying from the backside thats watching film knowing your assignment. He looks smaller but looks like he can bulk up. This is a good pick up especially for safety much needed. We need to hit on guys like this its crucial hitting in kids like this will get us back to where we need to be! Welcome to The U my boy!!

Looking ahead to next year… I’m kinda hopeful we can start allocating more of that $ to HS recruits and not have to add so many transfer pieces. I think we have a lot of young talent. With that extra money in recruiting maybe not come up runner up so much.
This year will be very telling if we are capable of developing high school kids or if we’re just spinning our wheels. This team will never make the jump if we have to keep filling holes with one year rentals every season. Don’t get me wrong, we should always stay active in the portal but we shouldn’t be in dire straits to desperately fill a starting spot with a transfer at so many positions

Not an ACC team until 12 and 14

Nor big 12. They’re dead leagues. Mario is crooting with 1 hand tied behind his back. And then he’s gonna tie the other hand back there himself if he can’t win this ****bag league. He personally can’t do anything about still being stuck here. But the only way to remotely consistently recruit with the big boys is at least dominate the league.

Any verified testing numbers? Glad we were able to close. I’d go all in on Jackson to finish off the class and keep an eye out for late bloomers.
Thought he ran a 10.97...had him mixed up with Cinci commit Markell Taylor...

Good pickup.

How are the 24 Safeties progressing - Mack, Day, and Thomas? Haven't heard much about them this off season.
