Any wins they manage will be ugly and all of the losses will be really ugly.

Last year's OL was the best unit on the team and they still won ugly and lost even uglier.

Since when do true freshman contribute on a FBS OL?

Lulz at a true freshman blocking anyone on the FSU front four with two seniors at DT and two juniors at DE as projected starters.

OL a mess, no big time WR, LB spotty, DB a mess, no big time RB

How is this possible in year 5 at freaking Miami?

Stacy Coley is a big time WR, if he was at Bama he probably would be a top 5 WR going into this season to be real, our coaches have no clue how to use him at all. IMO, People are overlooking one big position and just hoping for the best and thats the qb position which in my eyes may hurt us. This could be the year when we see how bad we should have went after Sean White and Treon Harris. Kaaya is the man and I think he has a bright future in the league, but his lack of mobility and not being consistent with this Oline worries me. To add on, throw in James Coley and I'm not sure we have an identity on offense but we definitely have the weapons.

Is it safe to assume that we should not count on Gadbois?

you lost me at Treon Harris and sean white. the jury is out on white but i didn't see anything from harris last year that makes me think he was a miss.

What is your prediction for 2015 record wise sir?

I need to see the true freshmen. They play so much these days (even on championship teams) that it's not fair to judge until they get here. Will Tyree St. Louis and Bar Milo be ready to play? Can one of the three corners seize the #5 job? There are a couple things that still need to be sorted out.

But as of now, I'm thinking 7-8 wins.

Serious question sir...

Do you think the staff has the skill to extract and magnify the skill sets these kids would theoretically come in with?

You say they need to come in ready to play and learn, which is conditioning and a mindset.

I think those kids (like Milo and St. Louis) can be ready to play...question is can the staff help them get there?

The OL problems make everything else irrelevant. If we can't protect our biggest asset on offense, we have no chance of scoring or sustaining drives. If we can't do that, this defense will fold like a cheap suit. Just look at how they perform when our offense was performing. Now imagine more 3 and outs, turnovers and terrible field position. Sprinkle in our absolutely ****** special teams and it's a recipe for a 4 to 5 win season. Kaaya may be the best QB in the conference, but he can't win games on his ***. This season will be well over by Halloween and (hopefully) Al will be done with it.

It is what it is. last year and This season were preordained to be disasters when they brought Folden back. Our only hope is that the new president hires a competent AD who finally puts us out of our misery.

Five months to improve the team. Plus there will be freshman to evaluate. Too early to panic, but panic early if you must.

Not a peep about special teams?

with fair catch Dorsett gone and Coley as a full time WR maybe we can get a decent PR game going....

punters are most important with our 3rd down numbers almost dead last in the ACC with the 2nd best passer and RB says a lot about James Coley and his inability to run any kind of offense...Vanilla is his offense period.

Total offense has been the same with a SR Qb and a frosh...with NFL rbs and Wrs at his disposal and decent Oline to boot..

in the end Golden is the guy that is killing us, but Coley is the real problem with slowing down our skilled players. His track record is all you need to know.

Simmer down, a lot can, and will change in 5 months. These guys already out there working. Have you look how the spring is going at the other states school, lol! We'll be o.k.

brother, complacency has engulfed you

Nah, I just know the difference between spring ball and fall ball. Let Kehoe get an additional 5 months with the OLine, Beard with the recievers, Melvin with the Dline, Hurlie with the LB's, and Scott with the TE's...plenty of time to get better. Come September, we will all know who is ready.

I agree... Too much drama from these "never played a down of college or pro football" experts!

OL a mess, no big time WR, LB spotty, DB a mess, no big time RB

How is this possible in year 5 at freaking Miami?

Rb edwards, Yearby, walton is better than any other running back group in the ACC outside of maybe fsu..... Arguably better

Lb Kirby, grace,Mccord, Owens,- top 4 better again better than anyone in the ACC.... Including fsu who's depth is horrid at the position

Db a group of elder, howard, burns, bush, carter can compete with anyone in the nation talent wise.. Top 2 in the ACC

Wideout group- top 3 in the ACC once again with coley, scott, waters, lewis, berries...

Again tell me more how we don't have big time talent in those spots? Each of the guys I named were blue chip recruits coming out of highschool except for edwards. It's no where near as bad as you and some in the thread are making it seam.... Just looking for something to talk sh*t about imo....

Oline group is a work in progress but kehoe knows how to get it done by the season

I love your eternal optimism. we all deal with death, depression, and personal sorrow differently, denial is a stage some people prefer to remain in, while others move on and face reality.

I guess the problem Is you are simply exaggerating the talent level. Blue chip recruit doesn't always mean elite player. bama and FSU have several 4-5 stars bust in each class. Also, talent level isn't correllated to wins with Al Golden. FSU and Loiuville were the only teams with more talent last year. Clemson and FSU will be the only teams with a higher recruiting ranking average this year.

Yearby is good. But is he elite? edwards hasn't shown much to be optimistic about, but maybe he becomes servicable.

What has Kirby done to be considered anything other than serviceable? Owens is still an unknown and McCord isn't guaranteed to be good at SAM. Is this really better than FSU? T. Smith, Northtup, Thomas, a #1 JUCO OLB, and 4-star Kilby Lane? Maybe, but it takes some blind homerism to conclusively state that now.

At DB, Paul Williams negates talent, and Howard is a bust. Too slow to play press man, and to soft to be a zone corner. He also can't tackle in the flats. elder and Burns could be dominant, but that is only true 2 CBs. jamal Carter would be on the scout team at FSU, LSU, Bama, etc. Typical workout warrior type that can't process information on the field. Bush is elite but has a serious history of injury. Depth and talent is a major concern at DB.

At Wideout, Lewis clearly isn't the same player post injury, Waters clearly isn't what anybody thought he was. Scott has been here 10 years and every year is his "breakout year". Coley isnt guaranteed to be elite. People hyped Him after a 500 yard freshman season full of dropped passes and lazy routes, and he quit like a girl after getting tackled in the opener with Loisuville, his attitude and commitment were questioned as a recruit, it appears those questions were valid. berrios is kind of "meh". Who is gonna stretch the field and open up underneath routes?

OL... if you think that situation is good, then I dont know what to tell you.

enjoy tailgating this season because the team is going to suck ***

All I can think about is how last season we went 6-7 with 8 players that can get drafted with potentially four going in the first three rounds. Now all that talent is gone some folks think we are a better team with the same corching

With all the talent in S.Flo how is it possible that we have problems at the skill positions. SMH

The game is won with a Steller QB and dominant lines... We had none of those.

How soon some people on this board forget how bad the OL's in the past have made the skill players on this team look like total ****. Scheme (thanks Patrick Nix!) has a good part of the blame, but the OL's ineffectiveness also the main driver of offensive ineptitude (in my opinion of course).

2006 - Fox (LT), Trump (LG), Wollschlager (C), Morse (RG), Byrd (T).
2007 - Fox (LT), Bain (LG), Trump (C), Morse (RG), Youngblood (T).
2008 - Fox (LT), Franklin (LG), Horn (C), Figueroa (RG), Youngblood (T).
2009 - Fox (LT), Franklin (LG), Horn (C), Figueroa (RG), Pihpo (T).

We can add 2015 to that excrement posted above. I mean, Jesus Q. Christ...look a the stud-to-scrub ratio!

Normal teams with normal recruiting efforts redshirt their most talented incoming freshman on the OL, not hope and pray that they can make an impact.

This season is going to be incredibly awful.
