Zero F's given in ref to a kid coming from elsewhere....Bottomline for CaneinOrlando is....if he comes and contributes in a positive manner....Welcome....In Berlins case, not only did he transfer from another school...but made them pay Dearly in the end...

No one wants Tate to come from another program and win. It's that simple. The media doesn't either but they know if they put his name in the title it will get clicked.

It's the same in any locker room. U have to earn the respek. I'm sure KJ did and Bubba will. Once Tate wins week 0 all that hating sh*t will cease.

1. Jarren
2. N’Kosi
3. Transfer portal

So many agendas! Agendas everywhere!!!

I hadn't noticed. I'm just doing my best to understand people's true positions.

I don't care about transfers starting. That kid from UCLA looks decent on his film. Wouldn't mind him starting at all. I like Pat Bethel but I think this kid put a lot of good stuff on film.

Wouldn't mind if Bubba Bolden was here already, working with Feely, getting in Miami shape, etc... He's not though and he hasn't earned anything. People would complain about Redwine and his limitations but want to anoint a kid that hasn't really played any college ball. His HS film is good though.

Wouldn't mind if Trevon Hill was a starter, he just doesn't seem to be a run stopper. The dude can run like nobody's business. He's a talented pass rusher and he could probably come in the game in on second down depending on what the offense is doing.

I didn't assume Trevon Hill would start because when Chad Thomas was starting at SDE he was around 275 and Joe Jackson was at 250 or so and he was at WDE. That was the way it was in 2016 and 2017.

Last offseason, Joe Jackson got up to 270 or so and moved down to SDE and Garvin became the WDE. When the most recent roster came out, Garvin was still weighing in the 250s (even though he got big in the weight room) and Hill was 245 or something like that. Both of those guys are WDEs in a Manny Diaz defense. Thats why I assumed Patchan (or Rousseau, who is backing up Hill) would start.

Tate, I haven't heard any reports confirming that he was better than any other QB on the roster. I only see porsters grasping at straws to create false narratives. If he is the best QB and he is outperforming the other two, I'm sure the media would be reporting it. Quite frankly guys, thats not whats being reported... Anywhere.

I was also hoping JW would have been given a chance to start (especially in the Wisconsin game).

However I’m pretty sure he was he was either out of shape (or however ddsdcane explained it) and/or in Richt’s dog house. That’s the only thing I could think to explain it.

Now, Richt was still stuck thinking it was the 80s/90s ... so maybe all his marbles were just lost. I really can’t explain the way he ran our offense, so ya never know!

GO CANES!
Josh

If you look at Perry's track record no coach in his right mind would have given Perry another start. It was reported last offseason that he wasn't putting in the work and trying to learn a very very simple offense. Then he he put up videos of himself flashing stacks of cash , then this offseason he posted videos of himself boning chicks. You might notice a pattern of behavior. Rosier had his limitations, but he also won 10 games the season before. He also ran Richts offense the way Richt called it.

There is no coach in D1 that would swap out a QB who had totally earned the HC's trust (and won 10 games) with an unproven, demonstrably immature qb who, when given his opportunity to step up, promptly decided to ignore the HC and call his own plays (not unless the kid has Cam Newton-like talent and can carry the team to a championship on his own). Perry might be good, but he isn't anywhere near that talent level. Maybe if Perry had lit up UVA with his own playcalling, Richt could have seen his potential. Instead Perry threw pick after pick.

Sorry, bro, there are lots of reasons to dump on Richt, but benching Perry indefinitely for not showing that he was ready to lead the team is not one of them.

Should he have started Williams? Yes. At some point. I think once Miami was out of the running for the coastal, Richt should have taken the opportunity to evaluate Williams. Perry was in his doghouse and wasn't going to get more burn. Williams, as far as I know, wasn't as much of a problem. I would have liked to have seen Williams with 2 or 3 starts at the end of the season.

People think just because he doesn’t throw a tight spiral all the time that he can’t throw. He looked on the money in games he had at osu and looks much improved now than what he was in the spring. I dont Know if he wins the job though we will see
He already won the job he is a better ball player then Perry he got arm talent but looks awkward at times

Who fills Nesta’s role now? Will their be an agenda bias to this question is the real question....

People think that whoever throws the ball the furthest and has the prettier ball is the best QB. The mental side is just as big of a factor as the physical side. The more this playbook is installed, the less of a competition this really is.

You right Manny reach out to him for a reason I think he lights it up

The positive with Nesta is we play week 0, which means an extra week. Then UNC, Bethune and Central Michigan before another bye. We start league play for real on Oct 5 against VT. All of Aug and Sep to heal up for league play might be in the cards depending on surgery type. Was really hoping to see him vs the gator tho

manny reached out to him bc he failed on hurts and tate was the next available QB that was realistic (kid is talented but hasn't proven a thing yet). Fields was going to OSU. this isnt a knock on tate, but its a fact that we tried to court hurts and we lost out, which forced us into our backup option. if tate doesn't win the job, but forced the other two to get their **** together, then the move was worth it on that alone.

First things first, the "I" instantly shifts the mindset of the offensive players to being more aggressive and not finess, which is partly why Fsu in years past didnt win certain games, because at the end of the day, they ran a finesss/shotgun offense. That's the one thing i could careless about with a coach richt team, i never liked that offense, but you can win titles with it when its paired with Miami/Florida guys. Also with the qb's under center, the defense doesnt know if its a run or pass and play-action becomes even more effective which creates more space for the passing lanes. That formation becomes a defenses worst nightmare especiallly when you got not one but at minimum 2 elite tightends, any defensive false steps and we'll have multiple big play options available.

A defense will have to be on point all game long, cause they'll have many keys they'll have to read!
I dont know if you are serious or not but EVERY DC smiles if they play a team that tries to line up in i formation. Even Nick Saban himself with access to all the re$ource$ and top players in america with jumbo sized running backs threw that offense away. We are only relics still trying to make that offense work like GT trying to run triple option. Mind you I dont mind the set in situational football but the moment a fullback comes on the field is when DC feel they can breathe.

I know there are some guys that troll ternches and i formation stuff so not sure if I didnt get the memo but you are soo stuck in past. If we come out in i formation we will get laughed at all across the country like we did with GT. **** is embarrassing.

Im glad the race is close but I hope when a winner is chosen we stick with just that guy as best we can. Obviously if the wheels fall off we need to switch it up but other than that I hope the winner can feel comfortable knowing its his job,

Miami was recruiting both, remember Miami didn’t know 100% sure if tate would even be eligible. If they could have they would have taken both with plans of martell not being able to play this year

I was listening to the storm surge podcast and the guy who goes to the practice gaby urrutia was basically saying how terrible tate looked and that he can’t Throw. Sounds to me like he has an agenda but it’s a ridiculous take because beyond two practices you don’t know what’s going on outside of the media viewing Portion to have that strong of an opinion. And to act as if all of the other qbs don’t miss passes or have inaccurate throws at times too. This is the same guy who said Miami doesn’t look like they have qb ready to play uf just a few days back I think After a 25 minute viewing period on Sunday’s practice so basically over exaggerating if you Ask me
That chick Gabby has “her guy.” She’s got a crush on Jarren, so she’s going to tear down the others.
