Fall Practice Summary- Day 6

I was listening to the storm surge podcast and the guy who goes to the practice gaby urrutia was basically saying how terrible tate looked and that he can’t Throw. Sounds to me like he has an agenda but it’s a ridiculous take because beyond two practices you don’t know what’s going on outside of the media viewing Portion to have that strong of an opinion. And to act as if all of the other qbs don’t miss passes or have inaccurate throws at times too. This is the same guy who said Miami doesn’t look like they have qb ready to play uf just a few days back I think After a 25 minute viewing period on Sunday’s practice so basically over exaggerating if you Ask me

not saying you did this, but others on here, have done the same with the other QBs besides tate. this is why rooting for 1 qb over the others is dumb bc it clouds your judgment. im glad its an open comp and im glad the coaches dont give a bleep what Martell did on 30 throws at OSU or in HS, what Perry did last year, and what Jarren did in HS. as long as they decide without any bias, im fine w their decision.

Jarren Williams to H-back.

New double H formation with Williams and Martell flanking Kosi in the shotgun. Who's getting the snap? Will he throw it? Will he run it? Will he toss it to another QB/HB and have him throw it? Limitless potential here, guys.

Sorry, it's the end of a long day at work and I might be delirious.

Who is this gaby guy and what are his credentials?

i dont know man. former players and some other around program i know are not giving me this positive info about tate.
No one wants Tate to come from another program and win. It's that simple. The media doesn't either but they know if they put his name in the title it will get clicked.

It's the same in any locker room. U have to earn the respek. I'm sure KJ did and Bubba will. Once Tate wins week 0 all that hating sh*t will cease.

sitting him was fine, that i don't disagree with, but sticking with rosier the rest of the season was absurd.

If you look at Perry's track record no coach in his right mind would have given Perry another start. It was reported last offseason that he wasn't putting in the work and trying to learn a very very simple offense. Then he he put up videos of himself flashing stacks of cash , then this offseason he posted videos of himself boning chicks. You might notice a pattern of behavior. Rosier had his limitations, but he also won 10 games the season before. He also ran Richts offense the way Richt called it.

There is no coach in D1 that would swap out a QB who had totally earned the HC's trust (and won 10 games) with an unproven, demonstrably immature qb who, when given his opportunity to step up, promptly decided to ignore the HC and call his own plays (not unless the kid has Cam Newton-like talent and can carry the team to a championship on his own). Perry might be good, but he isn't anywhere near that talent level. Maybe if Perry had lit up UVA with his own playcalling, Richt could have seen his potential. Instead Perry threw pick after pick.

Sorry, bro, there are lots of reasons to dump on Richt, but benching Perry indefinitely for not showing that he was ready to lead the team is not one of them.

Should he have started Williams? Yes. At some point. I think once Miami was out of the running for the coastal, Richt should have taken the opportunity to evaluate Williams. Perry was in his doghouse and wasn't going to get more burn. Williams, as far as I know, wasn't as much of a problem. I would have liked to have seen Williams with 2 or 3 starts at the end of the season.

then why even start him in the first place if he was so obviously not ready? at the end of the day i really don’t think you can argue that the situation wasn’t mismanaged.

He gave him his shot after the FSU game. My guess is Richt gave Perry the benefit of the doubt and thought he would take his opportunity seriously. Many players become different people and take preparation very seriously once they see they are going to be the starter (Rosier, for example- was happy to be 2nd banana and spent zero time in film room when Kaaya was starter. After Kaaya declared, Rosier did a 180). Perry quite obviously didnt take it to heart.

had to fix that for you bruh

All of this was last season. It was >7 months ago. Stop making up stories about this kid man. Please.

It was reported this Spring that N'Kosi was the Best QB in a room that included Tate and Jarren. It has also been reported that N'Kosi has performed well in the classroom earning All ACC Academic Honors. It has also been reported that in between filming his amateur movies N'Kosi was preparing for camp and has been making a good showing for himself.

All of this happened <7 months ago. The only pattern I notice is a smidge, maybe even a twinge, of hate. I don't know what its based on so I won't jump to conclusions.

You should read about what really happened. Perry didn't just have a "dud" game, he was freelancing and ignoring Richt. He's not good enough to get diva qb treatment. Richt was 100% right to bench him.
It wasn't that perry wouldn't tell richt anything, it was the fact that he couldn't. You're misremembering a whole lot about perry.

2 things i got hyped up about with coach enos was simple, the qb's were going back up under center/I-Formation, and crossing routes.
Besides nostalgia what about under center i formation gets you hyped up?

Ok full stop- at what point did I make up anything about Perry. This is some bullsh#t race-baiting dog whistling. I know what you are trying to insinuate and its uncalled for. You want to believe Perry has changed this offseason, that's your call. But not a single thing I said was untrue and to claim I'm making things up is a underhanded, dirty way of trying to win an argument.

You said he made a sextape this offseason... That would have been the stupidest thing he could've done THIS offseason. I don't know when it happened, don't even care about it, but I do know that it didn't happen this offseason.

He was improving himself as a man, a person, and a P5 QB this offseason.
