I think its a 50-50 shot that none of these three is the answer. How is that mopey? Just an opinion. I doubt there are many UM fans that are convinced at this point we have found the guy who can lead us back to glory.
It’s mopey because it’s a defeatist attitude. You’re assuming the QBs suck based on nothing but a pessimistic mindset. That’s the definition of mopey.

Enos has had very good success with some pretty average QBs over his career. I expect him to have excellent results with at least one of the two 4 star and one 5 star QBs he’s working with here.

I just received info from a fantastic source, lets just put it this way the guy is pretty much the governor (owner) of the team. I was told that after detailed research that the coaches figured out that Aaron Rodgers had eligibility left and they flew him down on a private jet on Wednesday night. However, before you think Aaron will just be handed the job, I heard Tate had a better lifting session than Aaron by a wide margin yesterday so the coaches can't decide on who should start vs. UF. Also, I heard Enos is attached to Tate's hip like a **** siamese twin. As of right now, the governor has told me it's 50/50. I am on my way to the nearest gas station to get another burner phone and will wait for his next call. Will post a summary after we chat.

personally, when the transfer happened,, i thought tate would be the runaway starter. im glad the other two are making it a legit comp and even looked better at times based on reports. well see what happens, but i cant imagine QB play being worse than last year.

I don’t think any of these kids are performing poorly. I watched some of that Arkansas and Toledo game last night and had to be honest.

The way Arkansas’ QB played reminded me of Tate. He had the quick rollouts with a quick pass game and they mostly played a power run game. It was cool. He was lined up under center mostly but I can see the vision.

was enos offense at Arky run a certain way bc of beliemas obvious preference for running the ball or is that how enos rolled in every one of his stops?

Enos will develop a good QB and we will have a very good offense this year. If history is accurate, the offense will start a little slowly and build to a nice crescendo as the season progresses. Mark that down.

Arkansas v. Toledo from 2015? Dude, you’re desperate for football season.

Anyone who thinks Enos can’t find production out of at least one of these three kids has PTSD from our previous staphs. Just look at how much better and more fluid they are in camp highlights. It’s night and day from Rosier v Shirreffs or Wright v Kirby. This guy is a coach not a corch.

My only concern is OL, and even there I’m really only worried about the tackle spots. And even there, I think our guys can handle most of the teams we play. UF is going to be a major problem off the edge though.

I honestly don’t know. It probably had a lot to do with Alex Collins toting for 1,000 all the time and having the biggest OL in the country, NFL included.

I think N’Kosi will start. I still haven’t gone away from that. Based on what I’ve been reading, he’s made a good showing of himself since Enos got here.

I know he doesn’t get credit from the board but if Tate worked his *** off and was still well behind N’Kosi to end the Summer, doesn’t that mean that N’Kosi was either 1) working his *** off too or 2) is just a more talented guy?

There is a big gap in the reporting of how N’Kosi earned the respect and the assumption to be the starter.

Just spend the mean time rooting against him, right?

I’m rooting for the best QB to lead this offense... I don’t think Tate is the best QB to do that so ipso facto I am rooting against him.

We shall see in three weeks.

Im of this belief -- judging any QB from last year with that offense, is like rating a thoroughbred who had a sumo wrestler as a jockey

What a great simile to construct an even greater analogy. Quality s'hit, my man!

finally got to listen to the ivins podcast on 5 rings, the one thing eveyrone left out of the recap is the types of offenses they were running in the 11 v 11 with each QB (in terms of types of throws -- this seemed to be left out of practice reports as well).

obvious that enos will tailor the routes to the QB he chooses, but based on what i remember:

martell - flats and short routes (they said another wrod but i catn remember off memroy)
perry -- deep and intermediate routes
jarren -- over the middle throw

also, it was their hunch that martell may win the job, but said no one really stood out or separated themselves from the other and the scrimmages will essentially determine the starter (obviously). no one really knows just going off interviews with players, they seem to like martell (i have to imagine this was from jordan and KJ given their relationships to martell (moreso jordan)). in the end, they didnt really know. DBJ said on what hes seen, jarrens look the best out of the three and all agreed that the worst thrower is Tate, but obviously more to being a QB than just being a thrower. with that said, next week will be fun.
