D'Onofrio Interviews for Temple - Updated :-/ I haz a sad

If there is any truth to this report, this just demonstrates the genius of Al Golden. A HC gig is a huge opp for his best friend and also saves him the tough decision next season if we see anywhere close to a repeat. I think Golden 100% believes in D'Nof's abilities and philosophy despite the results of the last two years, but is seeing that his boy's personality coupled with the skill set of the local recruiting base/mental mindset is not a match and could jeopardize his own future.

Luke for DC... I'm about to hit my boy up on twitter... that ***** is funny and he might actually think he'll get the job...

It's just a little funny because when Golden left, Temple wanted to hire D'Onofrio. Golden convinced him to come with him, two years later, he's telling him to take the job. Lulz.

OMO this is no favor to D'Onofrio, Golden dumped Temple, anyone really think they want his advice?

Huh?

What was Golden supposed to stay there for life?

I'd hardly call three years "life", and I also doubt he's beloved in Philly these days, especially since Addazio(sp) has now bolted.

I'm pretty sure Temple doesn't have too many hard feelings about the coach that made them a respectable team again.

And he was there from 2006-2010. That's 5 years bub.

if making an obvious move qualifies you as a genius, then so be it

A few things

1. He was at Temple for 5 years

2. He took them to their first bowl game since 1979

3. They had no program, had heavy scholarship loses and he made them relevant.

4. Addazio and Golden have NOTHING to do with each other.

So like I said, what was Golden supposed to say there for life? Temple fans should be sucking his cack on the reg, but there aren't too many in the first place.

haha this is great. all the pro No'D where yall at? Golden knows his boy is the gutter

I get it now:

all the wavering commits we lost wanted to play for DonKnowFrio but they are worried that he might dip.

Dumped Temple?? Yea he got a dream destination job as he describes. Golden will be at Miami for awhile and hopefully Coach D gets the Temple job. Coach D I guarantee you is feeling the heat and is not sitting very comfortable because he knows deep down Golden wont fire him but since they are friends he knows he probably would have been fired if not. Same thing happend with Mizzou and David Yost there OC. He resigned at the end of the season bc the Mizzou fan base was all over him. He was with Pinkel for 12 years and Pinkel was never going to let him go.
