Jarren has a seperated shoulder and is just getting doped up early day. Maybe that's why he seems that way. Lol (clarity sake I mean lidocaine not his other ****)

Are you serious?? If so, is that why he won't pull the trigger on the deep ball? When did this happen?

Yeah, but this is two weeks in a row of bad practices. listlessness for a sustained period in sports is a sign of players tuning the coach out or a lack of respect.

Im not at all saying that’s the case but it’s something I’ve personally seen in teams I’ve been on waaaay back in the day.

Unfortunately, he can't fire people midstream like in a business. He can get rid of kids who don't respect the coaches, but it won't be until January.

I think liberty is spot on, actually

That's fine. We're grown ups. I just don't see why people separate sports from real life. It's entirely possible, as it happens daily across the country, that a group just doesn't give a &^%$ no matter who is in charge.

The players only do what they feel they can get away with.

People have this fervent need to want to attack players, but players play & Coaches coach, the responsibility lies with the coaches to get the players to respect practice & give maximum effort. If guys aren't practicing hard it's because the people responsible for keeping them in line haven't done their job.

You think Saban, Dabo, or Lincoln Riley has to pull teeth to get guys to fall in line & practice hard? No, because those players know if they don't they won't see the field & will be immediately disciplined & replaced.

Our fans think Chidlren are supposed to raise themselves while parents sit back & take credit for it, don't work that way... If your kid is bad, it's because you didn't raise'em right, it's really that simple.
Im tired of never blaming the players tho. They are just as responsible. At 19-24 years old youre not a little kid anymore

Huge difference, because those guys can actually replace the lazy guy without missing a beat.

At least Manny is being transparent about what's going on. He is seeing and saying the same things we are. Hopefully behind closed doors he is holding the coaches accountable as well. This season is a **** show, predicated first with a sorry *** oline, then a sorry as kicking game, then some stubborn offensive coaching (not richt stubborn yet but getting there). We have to play with the players we have and adjust to their strengths. Gonna be a long ride this season I just hope to have entertaining and well played well fought games ...wins or losses be damned.

I one million % agree with this

I think its a combination of both coaches and players

So Jarren should have been taken out of the game....just not for a concussion.

No one has ever said the players don't deserve blame, yall want them to take 100% of the blame because you guys just fall in love with coaches.

A Coaches job is to COACH, they're in control of every aspect of practice & game planning, if something is wrong in practice it's their responsibility to fix it.

When you're in charge the responsibility of how things operate on a day to day basis falls on you, when a company goes bankrupt you don't blame it on the employees, it's on the CEO.

If the team is full of lazy unmotivated players who don't practice hard, take a wild guess who recruited them to the team?... Players don't recruit or Coach themselves.

I mean, they're both right. Liberty is absolutely spot on, but PCC is also telling the truth. At the end of the day, LCE takes the point and it's not close because the conclusion that matters is, no matter how lazy/soft, whatever adjective you use, the players may be, it's on the coaches to teach, inspire and, well, coach. This is not to mention the fact that Diaz has been here for 3 going on 4 years, and had a hand in recruiting at least most of the players on defense.

Yeah enough is enough, coaches receive a lot of criticism as they should from fans but when is it okay to hold the players accountable? 3 regimes in since 2015 and players still come out flat against lesser opponents with EVERYTHING to play for. As much as it’s a coaches issue it’s absolutely a players issue as well. Coaches coach and players play at the end of the day. All influence the outcome of coming out flat. Im sick of wanting it more than the Miami Hurricanes football team do

2017
10-0 leading into last game of the regular season and came out flat as **** vs pitt

2018
5-1 vs uva just came back from beating your rival(sitting in prime position for acc title game appeared) and came out flat as **** the next 4 games.

2019
Came out flat as **** in every game this year
-Batted back vs uf, unc
-It was 7-0 vs Bethune after a quarter
- never got it going vs cmu 17-12 final score

This is just bizarre to me. You people have never known anyone in sports, school, business, etc., who didn't have work ethic? Miami-Dade is currently infested with that toxic mentality, and Miami and FIU are seeing it first hand.

What is bizarre are the people that do not seem to understand what coaches do.

Why do you think we have coaches? They do not just stand on the sidelines and call plays.

Why do we have a S&C coach
Why do we have position coaches

...because they players cannot do it for themselves.

It is the coach's job to get the team ready to play mentally an physically. It is the coach's job to discipline or remove those that are getting in the way of that goal. The players are not the bosses here.

He is four games into the season and he is just now becoming aware of this issues. It never should have gotten to this point. It should have been beaten out of them during the spring and summer.

They should not be celebrating in the locker room after CM. Beat that stuff out of them at the moment not four days later. You cannot create a country club and then get mad at the members for acting like it is a country club.
