Dog is pretty much a joke term here now mocking the lack of fight in our players IMO. I like your take. Miami simply doesn’t have the combination of players that want it more than the next guy or the coaches to get that out of them consistently. Dogs don’t fold when one player goes down and we have been seeing that here for years...

“Going through the motions” @ QB @ Miami.... ridiculous.....
Manny Navarro had a point. He doesn’t preach team it’s about individuals. The chain, the rings, etc. that’s what you get when you have a guy who didn’t play college ball and doesn’t understand the importance of a team

Miami has the most turnovers since the chain made it’s debut and the chain has been the single most motivating thing during a game for the team. It certainly can also have some negative side effects, but the chain isn’t missing tackles, blowing coverages, going through the motions on O. **** if our D was making aggressive mistakes trying get them a chain, **** I think we could live with that effort.

So somebody read a theory on the internet that Manure could only fire Rumph if he fired Ted Lange too, and now it’s true. Sounds good to me because it makes Manure look like an even bigger clown if that was possible.
The clown hole in this program is China Syndrome deep.

And honestly, where there’s smoke, there’s fire with this bozo.

The defense is less effective against great OL but that has more to do with their players being better than ours (not the defensive scheme being deficient). The defense CMD runs now would ball the f_ck out, if we had players from the 2001 team executing it.

We had one of THE TOP DEFENSES in all of CFB in 2018 (when Diaz was the DC). The defense was #1 in Pass Defense and top 3 in a variety of different categories. You can criticize Manny for his OC hire and his ridiculous special teams hire (P@tke) and other issues, but there is no question he's a great defensive mind. He's got to improve the other two phases dramatically though (Offense & ST) or he will fail. Recruiting on OL & at CB have to pick up dramatically also.

You have no clue what you are talking about.

The defense can do one thing: tackle for loss. if we get those (including sacks), we stop people. if we cant generate negative plays, however, we cant stop anyone.

Manny Diaz coached one top ten defense in his entire career, which proceeded to get annihilated by Clemson INSTANTLY.

You people need to learn more about what real UM football is, and watch other teams play.

Not defending Manny's circus at all but in all honestly south Florida kids haven't wanted to play for any Miami coach in a very long time.

When you hire bums and nobodies to be HC thats what happens.

Hire an elite coach and kids will want to play for him.

Really?

Golden got Howard, Duke, Flowers, Bush, C. Thomas, Walton, Darling, Yearby, Coley, Grace, Burns, Carter

Richt got Pope, Hall, Donaldson, Scaife, Rousseau, Blades, C. Davis, Frierson, Bandy, Richards, J. Jackson

You're not wrong. I'm just jaded with south Florida recruiting I spose.

It’s time to retire the chains and rings for sure. Can’t have all the bull**** when you keep wining 6 games. Also remove the names off their jersey and teach them it’s about being on a team, not individuals. He has a team full of kids only worried about social media and doing it for the likes. It’s time to go old school and get this **** back in order

Now list the kids that went elsewhere.

There will always be local kids who go elsewhere, and no one is claiming things have been great under recent staffs. However, the comment suggested top local kids were all gling elsewhere for a long while. That is false.

When manny gets local 5* kids at WR and CB, hit me up.

Earlier today, the expectation was that Mike Rumph would not be retained. I was told by at least one player and a staffer that Rumph had informed his players he did not expect to be back next season.

As of tonight, though, I’m told there has been a reversal of course and that same staffer is saying that the expectation is that Rumph will now be kept.

On other coaches, I’m hearing the rest of the defense is safe. The discussion is ongoing for the offense though, and the names that are being discussed on the chopping block are Butch Barry and Taylor Stubblefield. Some in the program feel the pair is likely gone, but I’ve heard nothing strong enough to say for sure.

Makes sense. First two games this year were loss by defense giving up late 4th quarter scores easing Cane's late lead. Why would any of Manny's boys on defense get canned. After all we know they can stop WI from running, right.
