“I just started learning about the whole Miami history and everything, and I heard it used to be a powerhouse,” Harrison-Hunte told 247Sports prior to going public with his decision. “We’re building it to be another powerhouse in the future and I’m trying to be part of that. It’s way better joining something and trying to rebuild it than going somewhere already built for greatness.”

All the way down from NY, to help return us to greatness. Love this kid. Shame on SoFlo kids, turning out their Hometown for #OUTOFTOWN. (BOGLE) see y’all in the Portal when we’re Great🙌🏿

It’s crazy how these kids from friggin New York are buying what we’re selling specifically about being a part of building something special, going against the grain and turning things around, climbing back to the top where UM football belongs. Yet kids from South FL shrug off and **** on their hometown team to go be another spoke in the wheel elsewhere. Speaks volumes.

I think part of that is the grass is greener on the other side symptom. I'm sure Syracuse fans are saying the same thing about kids coming here as we are about S.florida kids going elsewhere.

Smart. There’s no big college in New York and since they’re gonna leave home anyways it’s a good state to sell the weather and Miami vibe to
New Yorkers love FL. And city kids will appreciate the city that is Miami vs. some bum-fck southern/country college town. It's worth targeting that area just to skim 2-3 of their best each year.

And though we can't live without them, that's also 2-3 spots we don't have to count on SoFl kids for either. That doesn't make me sad.

As of right now, we can’t depend on South Florida. ****, we were getting trolled by 3 stars this cycle.

Obviously, it was a rough year record wise and perception wise as well as a coaching chance so maybe Manny can change that but we’ll never lock it down completely. There’s too much $$$ being thrown around but if we can string together a few 10+ win seasons we’ll get a large percentage of who we want.

He was offered by Penn State and Ohio State along with Bama being interested and he is only 3 stars?

Wow I’m old. He’s talking about us like we were a powerhouse when the British Royal Navy was a powerhouse.
