6'1 175 lbs 10.6 I'll take that all day, these are the type of kid's LSU take and develop into NFL players. We have to start locking down corners now we can't wait on guys it burnt us in the past.
LSU gets 4star corner and safety prospects every year they are not taking low rated kids and turning them to stars

So Davis is not a take.... Elam is UF because we slow played him... We don't like Josh Sanguinetti enough to wait. We have no chance with Steele or Dent. We just put out new offers to get into the game with some mid 4* & 3* recruits. And our only CB commit is a 3* ATH with no experience at the position.... Looking real good at CB so far...

I like the kid and think with his size, speed and aggression along with coaching by Rumph he can turn into a real special player, like Rosseau projects to be. However, with losing 2 potential starters at CB and the untimely loss of Young, I think you need to sign another 2 CB’s who are ready to come in and compete right away. One of those kids will likely be Brownlee but the other should be one of Elam, Steele or Dent. That would be a really solid CB class.

I can't see Dent coming back, how do you flip on us after the kind of season we had, and flip to FSwho, the team we beat in the same season.

A long way til signing day but we definitely not headed in the right direction in the secondary

Staff is only planning on taking 1 corner? Can't make this **** up

Do you know the kid has little to no interest in Miami? Did he tell you that recently?

I guess we shouldn't have recruited Bradley Jennings, Patrick Joyner, or Will Mallory because they were all legacies as well, right?

The assumption that we are slow playing a highly touted kid is illogical unless the kid has expressed little to no interest at this point. The fact his father has a direct connection to Mullen and his uncle was a very recent player may be factors. There were varying degrees on how and when we went after and than secured commitments from Jennings, Joyner and Mallory, but they were open to hearing our pitch and exploring Miami as an option.

It's been done in the past. We slow played Asante Samuel even though he was apparently begging for a UM offer. It's not out of the ordinary for this staff. So no, wouldn't say it's illogical, I'd say it's up to par with what we've seen previously.

You assuming that Elam isn't open to hearing our pitch is an opinion, because I haven't seen any evidence to indicate that's the case. If he's been so closed to hearing what we have to say until this point, why would that have changed all of a sudden?

Kids upside is unreal....AND..he WANTS to be a Cane...unlike some of the Faqquit Prima Donna's we've dealt with the last few yrs...
Just because he WANTS to be a Cane doesn't mean he's better than the players who need convincing. Besides, isn't that the staff's job as recruiters? To convince kids Miami is the better option.

That "I only want players who want to be Canes" is the dumbest mentality on this board.

Kid will be a 4* next yr....His upside is excellent....Great kid as well I've been told.

I'm not ****ting on the commitment, but this is nothing to get overly excited about either. Really good measurables, but that doesn't mean it'll translate to the CB position. Also, his stopwatch speed doesn't exactly match his on-field speed.

I mean, this is the definition of being a star *****. You're whining about kids just based on their ranking. It seems like we could get Davis, flip Couch, or land Sanguinetti.

But the staff just isn't high on them, and if you're paying attention, neither are UF or FSU. It's not doing terribly if the staff just likes Brownlee better, or sees a makes their own evaluation on good.

I guess your point is we should take Davis and Sanguinetti over Good and Brownlee because a bunch of guys working for 247/Rivals have the former ranked higher? And you do realize that it's May and these rankings might change alot. If Good or Brownlee end up 4*, you won't be complaining. Recruiting rankings have fried people's brains

Slow rolling is an opinion as well. As for Samuel, begging for a UM offer is again subjective and in the end he stuck with his long time committed to FSU. So much of this is opinion with little to no real basis in fact and I'm not running off a staff writers report. Take it as entertainment and opinion.

That won’t help us get back to the elite of college football recruiting like that.

Brock, how many 4/5* studs have we landed on NSD? You're better than that. You know **** well that a Canes hat on the table at NSD has about a 75% chance of being tossed to the floor. NSD commitments are determined by bags.

You know we can't build a roster like that -- hoping and praying for the prima donnas to sign with us on the last **** day.

We get our guys - the right guys - the guys who want to be Canes and not play games. Then sure - we leave a few spots open at the end for the drama queens. They sign - terrific. They don't sign - not giving two fvcks because we already have our class set.

But we don't miss out on good talent hoping for the drama queens.

My man, slow rolling is not an opinion. It is fact that we did not pay enough attention to Samuel and Elam as early as we should have. Samuel begging for a UM offer is not subjective, he stuck with FSU because they had been recruiting him far before we even reached out to him. We made contact with him in the 11th hour after much persuasion by Bandy, and once we saw our DB board getting shaky. But I digress, you're entitled to your opinion.

At the end of the day, I just hope we get Elam and we get better.

$ome $chool$ are much better at convincing kid$ that their program is the better option... We are a little $hort handed in that capacity.
