CJ Henderson

Last night he posted that he was making an announcement at 2PM today. I asked the coach he's closest with at Columbus and he said he would be absolutely shocked if it was about a decommitment. Said Henderson and Jobe have been working Bandy HARD about Miami.

Around midnight, Henderson informed the Miami staff that he planned on decommitting, which caught them by surprise. This is a kid who has been on campus at least three times in the last month and had shown no signs of a decommitment. He told Miami that he wants to be able to go through the process and take visits. this staff knows what they signed up for and are prepared to recruit till the end. Things still in Miami's favor here. UF is filling up spots and He doesn't want to play in the cold (Michigan). I expect him to sign with Miami, but who knows because this came out of left field.

that class is loaded...thats why we dont necessarily need projects. Right now....I'd take the juco cb over Henderson. We need to get dbs ready to go.... day one!

As I' ve said before...when we start winning more top notch kids will surface....also, I'm not ruling out his return.....just said he wasn't solid after the Fla visit.... Looks like I was 100% correct!

Rumph isn't their lead recruiter. Banda is the lead recruiter for brini.

May not be there lead recruiter with them assigning based on location. But those 3 in particular that have been around campus so much especially Brini and Henderson, they have clearly been around Rumph a ton considering he would be there position coach. So technically you are right, but let's be real in the fact that Rumph should have had a big role in locking these guys down. Maybe that is part of the problem, why wouldn't you want there position coach building a better relationship with him especially while he's on campus so much. I understand how it works with Banda being his lead recruiter. As a recruit though wouldn't you want to build a good relationship with your position coach? When I coached at Monmouth U, we all had our locations we recruited but once they were on campus the position coaches would get a lot more involved. Obviously Miami is a whole different level then Monmouth but it just seems like common sense to me to have your position coach involved.

And my problem with Rumph is the fact that he is the position coach of our biggest need position and he hasn't done anything to fix it. Henderson, Brini, and Davis were all considered heavy Miami leans at some point. Last cycle albeit he deserves a pass because of how late it was, he brought 0 corners in (Richt brought Young with him). Lastly, what most people can't figure out is why we brought in a coach from HS with 0 college experience after it has failed numerous times previously with ICE/Beard. Recruits from Rumph's old High School don't even want to play for him in college.

Must be hard for any Cane to beg these little girls to come to Miami... Can you imagine? Rumph probably smells what's under their skirt. I wouldn't expect champions like him to cow-toe to these little babies.

Oh well....ok now what? Just keep hoping he's going to come back soon? Lol let the kid explore his options it's a very important decision.Don't be so thirsty he may come back or still have the canes at the top...that said.... Whats wrong with getting a juco running a 4.3 with experience?

Also, from the sounds of it, UF is negatively recruiting us and using "limited CB spots left" as a scare tactic to put pressure on him. Not bad but I've seen it before, hopefully he's smart enough to see through that.

Lastly, am I the only one that feels the Quincy Wilson debacle is still haunting us? Man AG messed that up...smh.
