Too many on here fall in line with posters that have no idea what position better suits a kid. I saw the kid play 3 times, once in Cocoa and I guarantee you he is bigger, faster and more elusive than Jeff Thomas. Kid is a baller and if he favors us then we can't afford to play him like a plan B. He's better than Knighton IMO, plus we know Knighton into Clemson. Hope he's not one we wished we signed.

Legit down the field speed. Angle burner who is a threat anytime he gets the corner is a step on someone.

Saw someone with comparison to Thomas and wiggle, Thomas may have a bit more. Thomas isn't this straight line easy though and his main reason for the separation he can get is his quickness in and out of his breaks.

Wouls gladly take this cats commit. Nothing has changed my opinion on that since he first showed up on these boards.

Tell homles whatever he wants to hear and get that big play threat on campus then find a spot dam all that.

supposedly he runs a 10.6 in the 100m, people are talking about wanting more pace in the team, he is the guy to add.

I see Speed+ Athlete+CanesHeart= get this kid on campus and figure it out. Rather have a kid with good tangibles and great intangibles, than a super 5* that plays us and thinks we’re not good ENOUGH. Never gonna be, so why sweat it.#FUTURECANESLIFER, just sayin’🙌🏿

You are spot on my friend. His stride is long and deceptive. He has real speed. Like him in the slot.
Too often ppl mistake foot quickness to actual straight line speed. Perfect example is a Graig cooper he had those great feet/acceleration and quickness but he’s long speed wasn’t all that. But you look at a Lamar Miller who when he turned that corner and got that stride going he separating from folks. This kid has that gliding stride too him

Reminds me of Lamar Miller as far as that staight line ease

His Dad is a diehard Cane! He has a Cane tag on his car. Brevard County is about them Canes they’ve sent several players to The U
I will say sell him on being an athlete. RB. Slot WR. kickoff punt returner etc. Speed speed speed

Honestly while Parrish would be an okay get I’ll take Holmes as the second back. Need some development at the position but he Has great size and speed. We need to keep adding players with this type of speed on offense

Unless you're considering the state of Florida "home", Cocoa isn't really UM territory.
It ain't Gator nor Seminole territory either!!
You'd be surprised how many Canes we have around here. Even Hurly Brown is a coach at nearby Merritt Island

If he wants to come here as a slot wr ok. On his film I don’t see Jeff Thomas type speed. Am I the only one not seeing it?
You couldn't be more wrong!
Why do you ppl love to compare speed to Thomas. He's not even clocked as the fastest on the team, nor has he beat anyone after the catch.
Speed is speed and we need more of it, especially when the guy could be our Percy Harvin.

I don’t think I want Parrish. I’d be okay letting a guy like him walk.

I want Holmes badly.

finally someone notice it, Thomas has not beat anyone after the catch. He gets to his first and second gear really fast, but he doesn't have a 3rd gear. That's why when people ask whose faster Harley or thomas, the answer always depends on the distant, if it a 40 yard thomas wins, 60-100 harley has him. That being said thomas is a naturally fast guy and you can tell by the way he runs, he has not done any type track training; he should do that if he wants to get faster.

I’m considering the state of Florida.
We've had a lot of Brevard County players over the last 3 decades or do. I'd like to see a breakdown of the county recruits for Big 3 programs. We used to get a lot from Merritt Island especially. Cocoa kids, not so much, if any. We just got Tennison who is right next door.

Seems like we used to have more football guys running track, now, not so much. Am I right?

Maybe football coaches need to encourage it.

I would think if anyone could teach a person running short distances to get faster it would be Amy Deem and her staff. She did develop Lauren Williams.

I'm not usually the negative Nancy around here but I just don't see it . He could be great but I don't see anything in his film yet excites me about him being a difference maker in our RB room
