Great stuff, Danny Pete! Interesting comment at the five minute mark when he talked about he was tired of seeing Miami basically lose, and he specifically referred to “its own people even getting after them“. Who do you think he was referring to?

We gave up the West End Zone to get here.
He has mentioned this numerous times. He hated manny Diaz and how ****** he was making this program look.
Cane alumni and former players were turning against the program and he hated seeing it. He was tired of seeing Miami lose for so long. Probably only respected Richt out of the last 4 coaches.
It goes back to what he said at the end. He will die working to get this program back to the top.
Mario has his flaws and I have been frustrated at times but you can never doubt his work ethic and pride in the university. For that alone, everyone should be backing him with resources and tools to get Miami back to the mountain top. The man bleeds orange and green.

Richt was a respected coach and knew what he was doing. His two years here were awesome, and then he got sick unfortunately. It was more about an incompetent AD at that point. Mario probably takes the job then and we have a 4 year head start on this “rebuild”
