Cane alumni and former players were turning against the program and he hated seeing it. He was tired of seeing Miami lose for so long. Probably only respected Richt out of the last 4 coaches.

It goes back to what he said at the end. He will die working to get this program back to the top.

Mario has his flaws and I have been frustrated at times but you can never doubt his work ethic and pride in the university. For that alone, everyone should be backing him with resources and tools to get Miami back to the mountain top. The man bleeds orange and green.

I know the dislike for Manny but to me, "its own people getting after them" implies something else. JMO

The hiring of manny Diaz was such a disaster. I remember where I was when they announced it and wanted to vomit. Richt gave them an out and opportunity to go hire anyone and they picked Mandy. What a terrible decision.
