Boise State DT transfer Braxton Fely will visit Miami next weekend

Miami and coach Mario Cristobal are quickly getting back to work in the transfer portal, which just opened around 18 hours ago. They have a top defensive tackle scheduled to visit next weekend.

Boise State's defensive tackle Braxton Fely is set to arrive on campus next week, as first shared by On3 on Twitter. The 6-foot-1, 297-pound player recorded 14 tackles and 5.5 sacks during his time as a tackle.

Braxton spent three seasons with the Broncos. Coming out of high school, He was rated as the No. 1483 player overall and the No. 177 defensive lineman in the nation.

In 2023, during his sophomore year, Fely played in all 14 games, recording 15 tackles, including four and a half tackles for loss, three sacks, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. As a true freshman in 2022, he contributed with four tackles and forced a fumble.

The stone kid from ole miss. He has been a solid backup for them the last 2 years. Not a big DT at 6’2 286 but you know he can hold up playing in a legit conference.

Other than that they might need some foresight and take a guy with traits and hope they can push him. A kid like Joel starlings from unc was a 4 star in 2023 class is coming off his rsfr year and only had 1 tackle but he is 6’5 310 and still young

he is smaller. If they don’t want the boise st DT because of size I doubt they would want him

Thats fine, be we still NEED at 4th DT.

Like even though he is smaller, he gives you a player that has experience, and production.

Like at this point can we be that picky!?

I would rather Fely be Josh Horton size too, but he would probably be off to the draft.
